Rudloff Custom BuildersAlso part of this home’s addition, the mud room effectively makes the most of its space. The bench, made up of wainscoting, hooks and a solid oak top for seating, provides storage and organization. Extra shelving in the nook provides more storage. The floor is black slate.
What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house.

Rudloff Custom BuildersWe met these clients through a referral from a previous client. We renovated several rooms in their traditional-style farmhouse in Abington. The kitchen is farmhouse chic, with white cabinetry, black granite counters, Carrara marble subway tile backsplash, and a beverage center. The large island, with its white quartz counter, is multi-functional, with seating for five at the counter and a bench on the end with more seating, a microwave door, a prep sink and a large area for prep work, and loads of storage. The kitchen includes a large sitting area with a corner fireplace and wall mounted television.
The multi-purpose mud room has custom built lockers for coats, shoes and bags, a built-in desk and shelving, and even space for kids to play! All three bathrooms use black and white in varied materials to create clean, classic spaces.

Astria FireplacesThe Plantation just might be the perfect manufactured woodburning fireplace. 48” wide and an astounding 42” tall with slant back design. But perhaps most impressive, it includes a hearth floor that’s only 1 ½ inches above the ground. It’s the only UL 127 fireplace with a flush floor finish like the highest quality traditional masonry fireplaces. The bathrooms as very sleek and modern, with flat panel, high gloss cabinetry, white quartz counters, and gray porcelain tile floors. The basement features a main living area with a play area and a wet bar, an exercise room, a home theatre and a bathroom. These areas, too, are sleek and modern with gray laminate flooring, unique lighting, and a gray and white color palette that ties the area together.
