This Sweet 100 Tomato is so prolific I am having a hard time containing its enthusiasm with numerous support systems. Cherry tomatoes are packed with flavor and have more sugar content than larger size tomatoes. It is impossible not to pick one and eat it while I am working. :-)

This darling young family of four recently moved to a beautiful home over looking La Jolla Shores. They wanted a home that represented their simple and sophisticated style that would still function as a livable space for their children. We incorporated a subtle nautical concept to blend with the location and dramatic color and texture contrasts to show off the architecture.

'Sweet 100' cherry tomatoes growing in a 15-gallon terra-cotta pot. Container-grown tomatoes are more susceptible to blossom end rot, but cherry tomatoes like 'Sweet 100', 'Sungold', and 'Black Cherry' rarely have this problem. Photo by Steve Masley

The blueberry wins our hearts in flavor and nutrition. It's also easy to grow, and pick. Sizes from less than a foot to 10 feet with the 'Rabbiteyes' We have an excellent climate for most berries and blueberries fall in this category. grown on bark-enriched soil is an excellent start to a successful patch. Each full-sized plant can produce about 15 to 20 pounds, consistently!

Elderberry Pearls, an elegant bush, easy and tall. The birds are fond of this fruit if you don't care to make jelly, cordials and wine from this delectable super-berry. It comes highly recommended by alternative doctors for the extremely high antioxidant levels. Flowers are also used for flavoring and tinctures. Some pruning annually but no sprays of any kind required. photo by Gil Schieber, Skipley Farm

Hardy Kiwi or "Kiwi Berry" is hardy to 30 below zero. Eastern Washington worthy. The vine has great fall color-bright yellow and drops its leave cleanly-not like a wet rag as does the fuzzy kiwi. The vine will grow 30+ feet and requires a strong trellis or tree to climb on. The fruit will store 4 to 6 weeks and is best eaten fresh. Very high vitamin C and a great flavor. A Skipley Farm favorite. Photo by Gil Schieber

Rich browns look stunning in this Lancaster, NY bathroom remodel! Beige and brown porcelain tile run down the bathroom floor and up the shower walls. A beautiful multi-color glass accent breaks up the tile in the shower. Dark Venetian Bronze plumbing from Delta stands out nicely against the light tile. A rich medium-tone cherry vanity is topped with a granite top full of flavor! Browns and beige really help make this bathroom feel warm and cozy!

Blackcap Raspberry. This is highly ornamental as well as productive. Unique flavor and the bonus of white stems in winter. Grows in shade or sun but certainly more productive in sun. These tasty tidbits are not that productive-that is you're not going to fill your freezer but with 5 or 6 plants you might have enough to make a batch of an excellent jam. You see, the ripe ones are the two black berries bottom right- they trickle fruit for 5 weeks.

The cranberry is a groundcover that remains evergreen and does NOT require a lot of water. In fact it is drought tolerant and easily provides and abundance of fruit in 3 to 5 years. There are several varieties to choose from and the difference is not notable in the appearance of the plant but the flavor and texture do vary. No pests other than weed management in the first few years. Photo by Gil Schieber, Skipley Farm

Located in Silverleaf's beautiful Horseshoe Canyon, this 7,700 square foot Ranch Hacienda serves as a vehicle for outdoor space.
The owners' desire for "classically traditional" with a lighter, brighter, and airier flavor than the neighborhood's popular, heavier Tuscan fare found expression in exterior materials and detailing that is simple in nature. The Nate Berkus-designed interiors complete the material and color palette with warm restraint.
The home, designed for a family with an extreme focus on outdoor living and sports, includes a basement equipped with a home gym, batting cage, and steam room. Outdoor facilities include a sport court and putting green. Additional features of the home include a motor court with dual garages, separate guest quarters, and a walk-in cooler.
The clients, receptive to the architect's exploration of multi-use spaces reflecting modern life, gained a laundry room which functions more as a home command station for a highly engaged mother than a place for chores. The multi-use room includes a washer and dryer, wrapping station, project area, winter storage, and her office. Additionally, it's connected to the outdoors, features a beautiful view, and is bathed in abundant natural light.
