Morgan Mural StudiosYup, your eyes do not deceive you. This is a real fishing boat cut in half and mounted on the ceiling. The hand painted mural/ artwork conveys a peaceful afternoon in the ocean from the perspective of a fish. The client has spent many a fine day fishing with his family, and wanted to celebrate his hobby in a big way. The ceiling includes my client catching a big marlin, with the end of a pole and actual line going to the Marlin mounted on the wall. His wife Peggy is enjoying the breeze and his daughter is dangling her feet in the water. His son has a snorkel mask on, peering down into the great room.

C2 | Studio Landscape ArchitectureThis project was a portion of a larger remodeling of a classic mid-century deck house in Weston, MA. The primary areas of focus for the landscape were an interior courtyard and rear terrace, both of which were overgrown and unused. In order to keep within budget limitations, our strategy consisted largely of editing the existing plants on site and reusing the best ones, maintaining existing groupings where appropriate. In keeping with the arts and crafts style of the home with its exposed beams and attention to detail, we implemented a simpler palette of rich materials with well-articulated detailing for a more pared-down contemporary aesthetic.

Land2c Landscape ArchitectureAFTER--Viewed from the entry stairs and from within the home this area is now an attractive entry. At night the 3 silver spheres light up and shine onto the glass 'leaves'. Vertical metal 'trellises link the stairs and the ground with climbing Star Jasmine vines. The scene pulls the eye away from the shady areas under the stairs. The lower retaining wall is steel clad.
