This door line can be modified and customized to any dimension and configuration necessary. While the lot has an east-west orientation, the home was designed to capture mainly north and south light which is more desirable and soothing. The architecture’s interior loftiness is created with overlapping, undulating planes of plaster, glass, and steel. The woven nature of horizontal planes throughout the living spaces provides an uplifting sense, inviting a symphony of light to enter the space. The more voluminous public spaces are comprised of stone-clad massing elements which convert into a desert pavilion embracing the outdoor spaces. Every room opens to exterior spaces providing a dramatic embrace of home to natural environment. On a tight infill lot within a traditional neighborhood, the home maximizes opportunities for light and space, consumes very little energy, incorporates multiple resiliency strategies, and offers a clean, green, modern interior. The original primary bathroom, while spacious enough to be impressive, unfortunately fell short in terms of functionality. The shower was so cramped that no adult could use it comfortably. The odd angles, combined with the dark and outdated finishes, along with a massive built-in tub that consumed excessive space, made it clear that a complete transformation was needed. In our redesign, we introduced elegant walnut cabinetry and created a stunning centerpiece in the shower, featuring dual shower heads and dual handheld options. This transformation turned the client’s bathroom into a perfect morning oasis. The clients are absolutely thrilled with their revamped space, which offers a complete escape from their daily routines. The Ascension - Super Ranch on Acreage in Ridgefield Washington by Cascade West Development Inc. for the Clark County Parade of Homes 2016. As soon as you pass under the timber framed entry and through the custom 8ft tall double-doors you’re immersed in a landscape of high ceilings, sharp clean lines, soft light and sophisticated trim. The expansive foyer you’re standing in offers a coffered ceiling of 12ft and immediate access to the central stairwell. Procession to the Great Room reveals a wall of light accompanied by every angle of lush forest scenery. Overhead a series of exposed beams invite you to cross the room toward the enchanting, tree-filled windows. In the distance a coffered-box-beam ceiling rests above a dining area glowing with light, flanked by double islands and a wrap-around kitchen, they make every meal at home inclusive. The kitchen is composed to entertain and promote all types of social activity; large work areas, ubiquitous storage and very few walls allow any number of people, large or small, to create or consume comfortably. An integrated outdoor living space, with it’s large fireplace, formidable cooking area and built-in BBQ, acts as an extension of the Great Room further blurring the line between fabricated and organic settings. Transforming this galley style kitchen into a long, closed in space provided our clients with an ideal layout that meets all their needs. By adding a wall at one end of the kitchen, which we used for additional cabinets and space-consuming appliances, we were then able to build an inviting custom banquet on the other end. The banquet includes useful built-in storage underneath along with large, corner windows that offer the perfect amount of natural light. The white painted flat panel custom cabinets and white quartz countertops have a crisp, clean effect on the design while the blue glass subway tiled backsplash adds color and is highlighted by the under cabinet lighting throughout the space.
