Michael Habachy designed this luxurious master bathroom for a penthouse in Buckhead. It began as a completely raw space with concrete floors and framing, allowing the designer to tailor every single detail to fit the client’s lifestyle. The client wanted a dramatic and luxurious look, but also functionality. The custom, Neo-classic inspired vanity achieves that by concealing the power for blow dryers and curling irons, and integrating a built-in towel warmer. Materials such as polished Calacutta marble and special cut and beveled diamond shaped mirrors contribute to the luxurious feel. Every feature received a tremendous attention to detail, including the black and white tiled rug with inset stainless steel dots. A rich layering effect was achieved by placing a custom made linear light fixture in front of white sheers, to give the illusion that its droplets of Swarovski crystals were woven into the fabric.

With adjacent neighbors within a fairly dense section of Paradise Valley, Arizona, C.P. Drewett sought to provide a tranquil retreat for a new-to-the-Valley surgeon and his family who were seeking the modernism they loved though had never lived in. With a goal of consuming all possible site lines and views while maintaining autonomy, a portion of the house — including the entry, office, and master bedroom wing — is subterranean. This subterranean nature of the home provides interior grandeur for guests but offers a welcoming and humble approach, fully satisfying the clients requests.
While the lot has an east-west orientation, the home was designed to capture mainly north and south light which is more desirable and soothing. The architecture’s interior loftiness is created with overlapping, undulating planes of plaster, glass, and steel. The woven nature of horizontal planes throughout the living spaces provides an uplifting sense, inviting a symphony of light to enter the space. The more voluminous public spaces are comprised of stone-clad massing elements which convert into a desert pavilion embracing the outdoor spaces. Every room opens to exterior spaces providing a dramatic embrace of home to natural environment.

The material palette began with a rich, tonal, large-format Quartzite stone cladding. The stone’s tones gaveforth the rest of the material palette including a champagne-colored metal fascia, a tonal stucco system, and ceilings clad with hemlock, a tight-grained but softer wood that was tonally perfect with the rest of the materials. The interior case goods and wood-wrapped openings further contribute to the tonal harmony of architecture and materials.

A sleek and artistic modern kitchen featuring a waterfall marble island, high-gloss flat-panel cabinetry, and a dramatic black pendant light installation. The hexagonal tile backsplash adds a geometric touch, while integrated appliances and seamless cabinet fronts contribute to the minimalist aesthetic. The home’s dramatic entry has been modernized with careful restraint. The original banister was preserved, sanded, and re-stained to highlight its wood grain, while a new iron baluster and treads bring the stairwell into the present. Diamond-patterned spindles complement the geometry of the floor tile, contributing to a cohesive and polished entry. A new Arhaus credenza adds practical storage, while the chandelier, also from Arhaus, exudes a graceful and glamorous vibe, offering ambient light and maintaining the sense of scale without overwhelming the space.

Bold architectural lines, dramatic roof angles, and an artful combination of materials give this remarkable lake home a commanding presence. Multiple rooflines create a striking silhouette, while expansive windows flood the interiors with natural light and capture breathtaking views of the lake.
The sleek sophistication of steel siding and a steel roof is beautifully balanced by the natural texture and earthy tones of Fond du Lac Dimensional Clean Split thin stone. A stunning custom white oak pivot front door adds warmth and character, creating an impressive entrance that sets the tone for the exceptional craftsmanship found throughout the home.
Every angle, material, and architectural detail contributes to a distinctive design that celebrates the beauty of Midcentury Modern architecture while embracing the relaxed sophistication of lakeside living.

This plastic surgeons office is used for non- surgical procedures...skin care. Keeping that in mind LFI wanted the design to be one of a serene, calm, sophisticated and yet classic feel for the patients. The use of classic Calcutta marble with dramatic markings for the reception desk , the blocked rectangle designed wall covering resembling stone , glass and polished chrome Eileen Gray coffee table, floral wall covering , textured fabric on the banquettes, and the hand blown glass pendant and the large format of Laurel's Botanic Portrait of a lotus gives the space a classic measured design juxtaposed with the organic. The pallatte of grays and whites also contribute to the fresh , new feel,of the space.

In the primary bathroom we utilized a striking matte glass tile in teal. The inspiration for the color came from the outside and the dramatic views of greenery. A floating vanity made of walnut has a quartz countertop. A freestanding tub, large shower, and modern sconces all contribute to the relaxing spa feel.

Request Free QuoteContainer types can dramatically contribute to style themes. Underscoring the home’s Federal/Colonial language are planters replicated to appear as lead containers, common to the period. Planters can provide a pop of punctuation, and when placed by a front entrance can offer a final moment’s joy entering the home.
