The L-shaped kitchen design centers on a large central island. The darker Graphite paint adds contrast to the setting, while the handcrafted Vintage finish brings a lot of visual appeal. The large turned legs on the corners repeat on the sink base.

Although this kitchen was beautiful, it had only one window and the cherry cabinetry and counter tops made the space very dark. The homeowners wanted to brighten up the kitchen with a lighter finish on the cabinets. We painted the cabinets with General Finishes Milk Paint in Antique White and I hand-glazed everything with Van Dkye Brown Glaze Effects which brought out the details in the molding and completely transformed this kitchen. They love how it turned out and so do I! To see more photos of this kitchen transformation, visit my Facebook page, Classic Fauxs and Finishes.

Door style: Pendleton SPW | Species: Quartersawn White Oak | Finish: Autumn with Ebony glaze
Among the oaks, white oak is considered the best species for quartersawing. The quartersawing process yields material with distinctly beautiful and variable grain patterns. The smart addition of Showplace Ebony glazing makes this natural beauty even more evident.

What a fun project and what a beautiful home! This young growing family wanted high quality new cabinets throughout their new-build in Hinkley, MN. They had six spaces in the home that needed cabinetry and enlisted us here at The Cabinet Store to help! Not only did we help them with the design (much of it done efficiently long distance), but we were able to install all six rooms in one day!
The homeowners wanted a transitional interior style for their home, a mix of modern and traditional. They wanted the overall look to be clean, contemporary, and warm. A mix of wood and painted cabinetry was the perfect fit to give off this polished, but cozy feel throughout the home.
Selecting Showplace Wood’s Breckenridge door style throughout the whole home, and alternating the color tones (Soft Cream with Walnut glaze for some rooms and Cherry wood stained Coffee in other rooms), they got just what they wanted. Plus we custom made matching pieces for various rooms in our very own custom cabinetry shop to match the Showplace cabinets!
This week we’re going to feature photos of the kitchen cabinetry & the living room shelving / entertainment center. See the fabulous outcome below!
The kitchen features a fun mix of the cream color cabinets on the top and bottom of the outer edges and the coffee toned ones on the island. And the entertainment center / shelving shown in the living room was custom made here at The Cabinet Store to match the cabinets of the kitchen island. Practical and beautiful!

Metropolitan ShowHouse Collection inset cabinets with raised panel doors and concealed hinges. Two finishes were used; antique white and slate blue with a coffee glaze. The countertops were Caesarstone in Raven.

Cabinets were wrapped around this wall intersection to continue the flow of the space. A bookshelf cabinet was incorporated to hold a flat screen tv. Decorative cabinet door ends were incorporated onto the sides of the cabinets for a seamless transition. Two, double trash pullouts were incorporated for a recycling center. At the end of the cabinet run, the cabinet runs to the countertop. The glass door and traditional mullions allows for display space. The white glazed cabinets add warmth and depth to the space to fit the style of this tudor home.

Applied doors to the ends of base and wall cabinets are a key ingredient to creating a custom look with a semi-custom line of products. In place of a smooth finished end, another door is applied and furniture base below completes the look.
