Cut Coarse Stone is reminiscent of a saw-cut Turkish Limestone. The highly textural and yet contemporary linear-style installs with a clean, dry-stack application. This stone is the perfect scale for an efficient installation, appealing to both commercial and residential exteriors and interiors. The stones include three different heights of 3″, 6″ and 9″ and various lengths from 12″ to 24″. The muted color palette is indicative of natural limestone.

Varying the pattern of the wall installation and the texture of the wood itself provides a counterpoint to the cabinetry on the other side of the room and creates a beautiful backdrop for the client’s displayed artwork.

Kitchen - transitional l-shaped light wood floor kitchen idea in Austin with an undermount sink, glass-front cabinets, blue cabinets, white backsplash, subway tile backsplash and an island

Blending a modern sensibility with traditional architecture, this garden features a front yard meadow with native grasses (Carex praecracilis) and wildflowers. Poured-in-place concrete pavers in a meandering pattern slow the approach from the sidewalk to the entry. The modestly-sized backyard has been maximized for entertaining with outdoor dining and lounging areas and subtle landscape lighting. Native plants, herbs, and edibles share the back garden beds, and a raised pond brings the garden to life.

• The kitchen was designed so everything has a home: spices, oils, knives, cookie sheets, awkward utensils, silverware, tupperware, trash receptacles, and a “stash spot” for when guests come over. Large pull-out drawers are great for pans and lids particularly on the back side (bottom of picture) of the island.
• A thick, pull-out butcher block cutting board was included, which can extend over the pullout garbage receptacles. It can also be removed for cleaning.
• The original casement window was replaced with a new Marvin awning window. The length was extended, and we included a contained window blind. The countertop now extends into the window.

Eat-in kitchen - large contemporary l-shaped porcelain tile and gray floor eat-in kitchen idea in San Francisco with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, quartz countertops, green backsplash, ceramic backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and black countertops

This project required the renovation of the Master Bedroom area of a Westchester County country house. Previously other areas of the house had been renovated by our client but she had saved the best for last. We reimagined and delineated five separate areas for the Master Suite from what before had been a more open floor plan: an Entry Hall; Master Closet; Master Bath; Study and Master Bedroom. We clarified the flow between these rooms and unified them with the rest of the house by using common details such as rift white oak floors; blackened Emtek hardware; and french doors to let light bleed through all of the spaces. We selected a vein cut travertine for the Master Bathroom floor that looked a lot like the rift white oak flooring elsewhere in the space so this carried the motif of the floor material into the Master Bathroom as well. Our client took the lead on selection of all the furniture, bath fixtures and lighting so we owe her no small praise for not only carrying the design through to the smallest details but coordinating the work of the contractors as well.
