The wall cabinetry rises in a tall, unbroken register, terminating in a stepped cornice and a subtle crown that carries the eye to a ceiling plane of generous height, while a bracketed corbel at the upper left signals the transition to the adjoining volume. The millwork is the primary architectural gesture here: inset, beaded-face frame construction with recessed panel doors, mitred stiles and rails, and a rhythmic alternation between solid and glazed fronts.
