2020 has thrown a lot at us. One of the biggest challenges for parents and their kids has been adjusting to at-home learning. Learning in high-traffic areas like the kitchen, living room, and dining room can be too distracting for kids. With families spending so much time indoors right now, the abundance of background noise from things like meal preparation, ringing phones, and conversations makes it particularly challenging for youngsters to focus on their studies. We can turn any garage into a learning-friendly space without limiting its functionality. Schedule a free design consultation with Garage Living by calling (817) 704-2356. We’ll work with you to design a garage-to-classroom setup that gives you the peace of mind that your kids are getting their education in a safe space right in your own home. #homeschooling #homelearning #studyspaces #garagelivingtexas #garage #garagelife #homedesign #homedecor

This custom wine cellar was designed and built by Vintage Wine Cellars in 2020. We worked 100% remotely with this client to create a beautiful and functional space in unfinished redwood. This wine cellar's wine racking has many versatile features to store different sizes and styles of wines and wine bottles, such as tiered coved trays for large format wine bottles, high reveal display rows, individual bottle storage, Original Wooden Cases, and custom cabinetry. The unique shape and design of this room required a skilled contractor like Vintage Wine Cellars to design and create a completely custom wine cellar - perfectly fit to the shape and flow of the room. This client's room was actually huge - but he just didn't have the need to fill it completely with wine (maybe one day!) The front and rear walls are both fitted with custom racking, divided by open space and a large marble countertop. This room would lend itself perfectly to enjoying a nice bottle or three with some friends as there is plenty of space to walk around and mingle, as well as counter space begging to be used to decant those fantastic bottles. Custom Wine Cellars such as this are more common in traditional style homes, as the decor matches very well with the rustic motif. There are so many different styles and paths you can choose for racking and design nowadays. Traditional Racking such as this can have limitless variations and design features to properly store your unique collection - one of the many reasons we love wooden wine cellars. Since 1990, Vintage Cellars has designed and built over 2,750 custom wine cellars in a wide range of styles and applications. This recently completed wine cellar in Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego, California is great example that small can definitely be beautiful. The homeowners had a vision to redo their older, existing wine cellar - all the meanwhile keeping some of it’s original charm. The back wall of the original wine cellar / wine room was opened up, converting an adjacent closet into an additional room for the space. The rustic and traditional stone work and vertical diamond bins were kept to maintain the old world feel. Vintage Cellars / Vintage Wine Cellars just completed this beautiful custom wine cellar duo in a home in Point Loma, San Diego, California. These wine cellars are both for show, one upstairs and the other downstairs. Complete with custom stainless steel doors and windows, these wine rooms provide great views from anywhere in the area. The upstairs cellar is a more contemporary feature with acrylic bottle holders and metal rods from floor to ceiling. This particular wine racking system is meant to make the bottles appear to be floating upon first glance. This wine cellar / wine room / wine feature in Point Loma, San Diego, also shows backlit paneling / back lighting to really make the cellar shine. With 700 bottles of beautiful wines on display, a cellar like this would look great in any room in your home. Communities like La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Del Mar Highlands, Carmel Valley, Coronado, Solana Beach, Fairbanks Ranch, and more are hotbeds for beautiful custom wine cellars, and we're excited for the opportunity to help our customers with their great wine room projects. The bottom floor wine cellar features an incredible display case and library of wines, created moreso as a utilitarian cellar, but none the less, still beautiful from in or out. Featuring custom stainless steel framing for windows and doors - the darkened patina coating on the metal looks sleek and acts as the perfect modern accent to this wine cellar / wine room / wine display. Since 1990, Vintage Cellars has designed and built over 2,000 custom wine cellars in a wide range of styles and applications. Vintage Cellars offers a complete turnkey service (if needed), providing initial wine cellar design options, proper room preparation with vapor barrier and insulation, proper wine cellar cooling unit sizing and installation, wine racking fabrication with custom stain and lacquer options done in house, and final professional installation onsite. We can also design and ship the wine racking without install. We regularly work with Interior Designers, Architects, and Home Builders as well and can help carry out visions already in movement too. Gene Walder, Jake Austad, and the team at Vintage Cellars specialize in Custom Wine Cellar Design and Consultation, Custom Wine Cellar Cooling Systems, Custom Wine Cellar Doors, Wine Cellar Racking, and everything else wine storage related. By working closely with clients, the team at Vintage Cellars is able to craft a wine storage space to match the collectors' vision and style. Rustic works well in the luxury country estates throughout Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego, California. The team at Vintage Cellars created a beautiful and functional wine racking design in Poplar with a custom stain and finish to match the existing wine cellar aesthetics. The wine room also features high reveal display, room for case storage, and tiered coved trays for large format bottles. Since 1990, Vintage Cellars has designed and built over 2,000 custom wine cellars in a wide range of styles and applications. This photo shows the back wall This custom wine cellar was designed and built by Vintage Wine Cellars in 2020. Vintage Cellars offers a complete turnkey service (if needed), providing initial wine cellar design options, proper room preparation with vapor barrier and insulation, proper wine cellar cooling unit sizing and installation, wine racking fabrication with custom stain and lacquer options done in house, and final professional installation onsite. LEED Certification level: lEE FOR HOMES (V.3),SILVER. In Oct 8,2015, USGBC honored a Brazilian Project with the First LEED FOR HOMES certificate of Brazil, awarded with a high Silver score, ((81.5 final ptos - 12.5( HSA) resulting 69 ptos)) due to green strategies applied in different areas of construction. This outstanding result could only be achieved with the collaboration of a well-integrated team of professionals, focused on unifying solutions suitable to all areas of construction, with materials that provide high efficiency and counted on an experienced and dedicated team, the support given by homeowner during entire process was essential to success of this project. The owner, who embraced LEED concepts, found his incentive on his granddaughter, who must have the opportunity to grow in an environment with availability of all natural resources, and endeavored to gather the team and to find solutions that best fit each opportunity. The consequence of this work was an exceptional residence, being an impressive showcase of green building strategies that have come together in a home. Alphaville Dom Pedro Residence, as the project was named, sets an example of quality and sustainability, achieving new standards required by condominium rules of construction in Campinas city, 80 miles from São Paulo, state's capital capital. The construction was managed by LCP Engineering & Construction, using the innovative Ecogrid® technology, based on SCIP (Structured Concrete Insulated Panel) construction, which provided this home a high thermal-acoustic performance, reduction on waste generation during construction and minimal energy consumption. Furthermore, this project was planned to take full advantage of the sun’s potential, through the usage of solar and photovoltaic panels, designed to produce the energy needed to heat all water from house and pool, as well as generate part of the electricity consumed. Being one of the most treasured resources, a special care was given by the project team to the water management system. Saving water plays a big role in this fascinating project: action was taken to allow all water used in showers, sinks and from the rain to be reused after the treatment through a natural process, phytoremediation by wetland, for irrigation and toilets. Also efficient faucets and showers that have a low flow rate were used. The irrigation and landscape design, fully done with native vegetation, demands a low amount of water to fuel the drip irrigation system implemented on 100% of the landscape area. Separate zones of irrigation were installed according to watering needs, equipped with an automatic activation system, moisture sensor and pressure regulation devices, all programmed to minimize evaporation losses. Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PPR) pipes were used replacing the PVC as non-toxic material, guarantying the joints between pipes and fittings for total security system . Furthermore, a high degree of internal living quality was achieved minimizing the bacterial proliferation; mold, mildew and termite free due to the Ecogrid Technology. All finishing used on this residence, like tiles, faucets, toilets have a high percentage of recycle materials, provided by local manufacturers, promoting the maturity of the local industries complying with the rating of the certification process. This marvel project is extremely important to the national market, representing a significant milestone in the Latin in Brazilian Residential Building Sector, bringing the LEED for Homes certification and establishing sustainable parameters to future home builders for example: The house produces 46% of the energy used, NET Zero, Inverter Split air conditioning system, 100% of the hot water coming from solar panel, PVC free, use PPR pipes, Use phytoremediation process achieving 62% efficient water reuse, 95% efficiency in non construction waste, Confortable and Healthy Interior Environment. In rapids highlights, *Inovation in the technologic process of construction , ECOGRIDE, witch besides the environmental comfort, regards for the salubrity and owner,s welfare. *Exceeded average rates of energy efficiency with the use of photovoltaic panels, HVAC and home appliances with the inverter technology. *Consolidated the importance of social and education environmental practices of the workers and owner. *Reference on sustainable urban condominiums with quality and connectivity in the state of Sao Paulo and Contribute for the Brazilian market improvement and proved that actual market is already prepare to supply the sustainable construction. But the must important was…. “Once Upon a Time“… there was a devoted grandfather, who believed in a better world for his granddaughter, seeking for solutions to leave a legacy of learning and achievements ways for future generations. This beautiful love story has a happy ending, with the reception of First Leed For Homes Silver in Brazil and First Leed For Homes Silver in Latin America, for this wonderful residence. A home full of love, affection and “sweet home” for many happy moments between this grandfather and his granddaughter.
