This mid-century custom home had always intrigued me, so I was thrilled when asked by the homeowners to help to renovate their kitchen, master bath as well as three other bathrooms. Having a true sense of the home's essence and history, they were not afraid to use exotic and precious finishes to highlight its uniqueness. All doorknob sets and faucet sets are by Sherle Wagner and carefully selected by the homeowners to be unique to each space.

For today's Friday Feature we wanted to show off a really cool living room remodel that we did. The homeowners are both professors and avid bookworms. They wanted room to store shelves and shelves of books while creating a livable space. These Custom Wood Products (CWP) natural oak cabinets provide a ton of storage space... even behind the TV!

These open diamond shaped shelves complement the 15 ft wide by 12.5 tall entertainment center. The Wood-Mode custom cabinetry has two 36 inch drawers with integrated hardware. The unit is pictured in a matte eclipse finish on maple and features a rolling library ladder. Photos by Gage Seaux

This solid Tiger Maple desk unit was built for a client's Wellesley home several years ago. The new owners of the home called me recently to dismantle the unit in order to reclaim the space as the front sitting room. The piece was designed with this eventuality in mind so it came out in sections leaving only a few easily spackled screw holes in the wall. The components were stored and as far as I know, may be available for sale. If interested, contact me and I can inquire.

This bookcase is created from salvaged white ash. The frame is created from hot rolled steel which has a black mill scale. It has a clear coating. Bookcase measures 81" tall, 96 wide by 14" deep.
