Designed for Little Sleepies, a family apparel brand, this 10,000-square-foot office renovation in Hollywood, California transformed an empty commercial space into a warm, functional workplace for both staff and visitors. The project was planned as a workplace interior that supports daily operations while creating a more inviting and usable office environment.
The design organizes a range of spaces for work, meeting, and informal gathering, including conference rooms, open work areas, communal lunch tables, kitchen amenities, and lounge-style seating. Rather than treating the office as a purely corporate interior, the project was shaped to feel comfortable, collaborative, and adaptable to the rhythms of everyday use.
This project reflects experience in office renovation, workplace interiors, and commercial interior design, with an emphasis on turning underutilized space into a cohesive environment that supports both productivity and connection. The result is a workplace designed around flexibility, function, and a more welcoming sense of daily occupancy.

Designed by Daniel Altmann of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Bethesda, MD this Washington, DC contemporary kitchen design features Ultracraft Cabinetry in the Acrilux door style in a Linear Bronze/Powder finish. Kitchen countertops are engineered quartz in the color Wayborne by Cambria. Kitchen appliances are by JennAir. Kitchen tile backsplash features Tomei 3x12 glass tile in a cloth finish. For the customer, the experience was overwhelmingly positive, sharing "Daniel as an absolute pleasure to work with. He listened closely to my goals for the kitchen and was patient and flexible with providing multiple options to help with making the many decisions required. As with most major renovations, we ran into unexpected issues, in our case during demolition. Everyone worked with us to come up with a solution that preserved the integrity of the design." Brutalist Townhouse is a renovation of a 1962 cast concrete and brick townhouse in Southwest Washington DC. The project is a study in efficiency, color theory, eclecticism, and art curation. Their home is a space in constant evolution- for a growing family that enjoys art, avid reading, restoring furniture, and vintage audio equipment.
The simple concept of the interior is to sharply contrast the exterior. The brutalist base building has cold and unadorned facades of brick, concrete, and glass- so inversely the interior is designed with warm woods, quirky furniture, rich textures, and colorful artwork. The couple’s art collection (which ranges from 17th century intaglio prints, Hudson River School oil paintings, Japanese wood block prints, to modernist silkscreens) is a primary focus throughout the interior, with special attention to flexibility as the collection grows. Drawing from experience in museum and gallery design, most of the art walls are kept white- while only the doors throughout the space are vibrantly painted to give a curated pop of color.

The gourmet kitchen, equipped with an in-island sink and dishwasher, is perfect for entertaining, whether you're hosting intimate parties or large family gatherings. A spacious laundry room is conveniently located just off the two-car garage.
The second and third bedrooms, situated in the front corner of the home, offer flexibility and can be converted into a den or office space. The master suite, located towards the water, features a tray ceiling and offers scenic enjoyment of the lagoon.
The spa-like master bath is designed with separate dual vanities flanking a soaking tub, providing a luxurious retreat within your own home. The Cobalt floorplan at Delta Coves combines luxury, functionality, and stunning views, offering an unparalleled living experience.

This one-room renovation reimagined an underused formal dining room into a cozy, conversation-focused sitting room—infused with moody sophistication and architectural interest. With minimal structural limitations, the project offered full creative freedom to rethink the layout and mood of the space.
The goal was to create a refined yet relaxed atmosphere: a space less about utility and more about experience. We introduced bold, layered elements—including wall moulding, rich finishes, and a dramatic ceiling wallpaper—to elevate the room without overwhelming it. A curved sofa became the cornerstone of the layout, softening circulation and encouraging connection, while a flexible secondary seating area added versatility.
Lighting played a critical role in setting tone and function. A sculptural statement fixture brought visual presence, while layered accent lighting offered warm ambiance for evening use. Every detail—from the ceiling pattern to the furniture silhouettes—was chosen to strike a balance between drama and cohesion, tying in tonal references from adjacent rooms while giving this space its own identity.
The result is a distinctive, inviting retreat designed for everything from quiet moments to casual entertaining—proof that even a single room can completely shift the rhythm and feel of a home.

This is a 5000+ sf vacation home that sits up on a hill with stunning views of Carmel Valley. The goal was to remodel the home with the intention of harnessing the beauty of its natural setting, while creating a tranquil place of respite and refuge. As the client has kids, large show dogs, and family/friends enjoying the space, it was important to use finishes that could sustain multiple end users. In lieu of hardwood floors, I specified a ceramic faux bois tile for high traffic areas that looks like hardwood but is virtually indestructible. With warm finishes and sculptural forms, the newly designed home is now dynamic, earthy and inviting.

No small rooms in the Aiken! This is another new design from Saddlebrook that answers all of your needs. The basic floor plan features 3 Bedrooms with one being the Owner’s Suite on the main level, 2½ Baths and a loft or bonus room. There is an option for a spacious 4th bedroom and full bath upstairs which could also be considered a second Owner’s Suite. Even with this option, there is still a ton of walk-in storage under the roof line so one could easily add a media room or 5th bedroom with another bath. The plan is so flexible it can meet almost everyone’s needs. On the main level, the plan offers a flex space which can certainly be optioned into a formal dining space. There is casual dining off the Kitchen/Great Room with windows looking onto the standard covered porch. So, whether you love everyone gathered in a casual space or you prefer the more formal dining experience, this plan can do either. The standard 2 car garage can have a workshop space added or a 3rd car garage.

Whistle Hill Lot 2 residence stands as one of the most architecturally ambitious homes in the development, a striking example of RWH Architect’s commitment to elevating modern design. Defined by its dramatic butterfly roof and a façade composed of clean horizontal cladding, vertical accents, and expansive window groupings, the home captures a sculptural presence rarely seen in the region. This is a residence designed to open itself to its surroundings, embracing light, volume, and long views in a way that signals a new era of contemporary architecture.
The home features an attached three-car garage with an adjacent storage area, creating a practical yet visually streamlined entry sequence. Inside, the first floor is designed around livability and connection to the landscape. The foyer opens into a private office and then flows toward the main living areas. The master suite is intentionally tucked into a quiet corner on the first floor, positioned to overlook the backyard and shaped to allow morning light to filter softly into the space. Adjacent to the master suite is the laundry room, placed strategically for convenience. A secondary bedroom on the first floor includes a walk-in closet, and a nearby three-quarter bath offers flexibility for guests or extended family.
The kitchen serves as the central gathering point of the home, anchored by a large island and complemented by a walk-in pantry. It overlooks an expansive wraparound deck that transitions seamlessly to a lower patio, creating layered outdoor living spaces. Both the dining room and the great room open directly to the deck, enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection. The sunken great room is one of the home’s signature moments, featuring a floating fireplace that appears to hover within the space and accentuates the dramatic ceiling height created by the butterfly roof. The result is a room filled with daylight and volume, a contemporary living environment with an architectural presence that feels both bold and welcoming.
Upstairs, the second floor includes two additional bedrooms, each with walk-in closets, and a full bathroom designed with modern simplicity. From the upper level, the design allows for open views extending back toward the dining room, creating visual connectivity between floors and emphasizing the vertical openness of the home. This intentional play of volume heightens the spatial experience and enhances the sense of modern airiness throughout the interior.
This residence presented several unique design challenges that ultimately helped refine and elevate the final architectural expression. The sweeping butterfly roof created structural complexities due to its dramatic angles and its role in defining the home’s entire visual identity. RWH addressed this by carefully coordinating structural supports and framing patterns that allowed the roof to appear effortless while maintaining its sculptural form. Another significant challenge was balancing the extensive glazing with the need to preserve privacy and energy performance. RWH solved this by thoughtfully arranging high windows, angled openings, and varied window groupings that capture natural light without compromising comfort. Integrating a sunken great room with a floating fireplace required a precise approach to grading, floor transitions, and structural anchoring. Through detailed modeling and coordination, RWH ensured that the fireplace would appear weightless while remaining fully functional and safe. Creating uninterrupted views from the second floor to the dining room also required creative alignment of floor systems and rail detailing, which RWH resolved by designing sleek, integrated guardrails that preserve openness while meeting safety requirements.
Whistle Hill Lot 2 stands as a bold architectural statement and a defining example of the evolving design language within the development. Through innovative forms, expansive volumes, and carefully orchestrated transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, RWH Architect has created a home that reflects the future of contemporary living in the area—forward-thinking, refined, and undeniably modern.
