The grand scale of this entry, living and dining room is accentuated by large stone columns and a pair of matching wrought iron and glass doors. The light from the doors bright then entire room making it feel inviting and ethereal. The arches ar the windows and doors are repeated as a barrel vault at the ceiling--this repetition of form is a great way to create a harmonious space! The formal living room doubles as a seating area and piano salon. The asymmetrical placement of the art above the fireplace is an unexpected break from the tradition and formality in the room.

Most think the wall treatment is paper however it is actually a painted mural inspired by a small swatch of antique Fortuny silk fabric that the artists and I needed to imagine perhaps the full repeat could have been. This mural is absolutely one-of-a-kind and finished with a linen texture.

That master bedroom was done for Deborah French. She is a maestro of colors. She can put together objects of different contries, different styles, and eras info original dazzling rooms. These drapes, upholstered bed, duvet cover are made in our studio. Drapes are ripplefold and folded by the chain on the back to be operated by rings. Duvet cover has trim all around and zipper closure and pillows are with fringe and zipper closure.

The same Fortuny on downstairs settee cushion is used for the pillows on this Italian LXVI-style settee, which is covered in algae toned velour. It is trimmed in Scalamandre cording that is the same color as the Salamander tassel trim on the Carleton V drapery. Standing with the sofa on another Tabris rug, a pair of vintage 70's acrylic stands hold the matching tole pot-a fleur. In the distance is the elevator vestibule.

The walls are covered in a Cole & Son wallpaper with a shimmery silver ground, huge distressed mirror and empire sofa found in Westchester, NY and a plexi glass waterfall table. The sofa's fabric is a mauve linen velvet from Gretchen Bellinger as is the purple satin fabric in the pillows. The third pillow is in a Fortuny fabric.
The carpet is Mongolian lamb. Cabinet and two armchairs are clients own pieces. The armchair on the left is covered in a Maharam fabric.
