Northeast Portland is full of great old neighborhoods and houses bursting with character. The owners of this particular home had enjoyed their pink and blue bathroom’s quirky charm for years, but had finally outgrown its awkward layout and lack of functionality. The Goal: Create a fresh, bright look for this bathroom that is both functional and fits the style of the home. Step one was to establish the color scheme and style for our clients’ new bathroom. Bright whites and classic elements like marble, subway tile and penny-rounds helped establish a transitional style that didn’t feel “too modern” for the home. When it comes to creating a more functional space, storage is key. The original bathroom featured a pedestal sink with no practical storage options. We designed a custom-built vanity with plenty of storage and useable counter space. And by opting for a durable, low-maintenance quartz countertop, we were able to create a beautiful marble-look without the hefty price-tag. Next, we got rid of the old tub (and awkward shower outlet), and moved the entire shower-area to the back wall. This created a far more practical layout for this bathroom, providing more space for the large new vanity and the open, walk-in shower our clients were looking for.

The Klein condo is a penthouse unit overlooking the beautiful back bay of Orange Beach, AL. The original kitchen was put in by the developer and lacked a wow factor as well as the organization and functionality that the Klein's desired to fit their cooking and entertaining needs. The right side of the kitchen is a wall of floor to ceiling windows that bring in the beautiful scenery of the bay. It was important to the client to create a kitchen that would enhance and compliment the water view rather than distract from it. We chose the Bristol door, a wide stile shaker, because of it's clean and simple lines. Wellborn's Willow paint served as the perfect compliment to the cool blue tones from the bay view that poured into the kitchen. We made sure to use every inch of space for functional storage; from a lazy susan in the tight left corner, to a tall pull-out cabinet left of the fridge, to custom fitting a cabinet front all the way to the angled wall on the right side of the kitchen. Mrs. Klein wanted a large smooth surface for baking, so we created a double-sided island that gave her a 50" deep smooth countertop with waterfall ends. The Klein's also wanted to incorporate a large wet bar near the kitchen to use for entertaining and display. We used the same finishes and moldings, but added some glass doors and glass shelves to reflect the water views. The bar includes two spice rack pull-outs that are used for liquor bottle storage. This renovation transformed the Klein's drab, builder level kitchen into a custom, highly functional kitchen & bar that harmonizes with the beautiful bay views that encompass it.

When it was time to update their small and poorly functional master bath, these homeowners approached Renovisions for help. The small 5’x8’ size constraints was a challenge but ‘Team Renovisions’ was up for the task and came up with a beautiful creative use of space which incorporates a spacious walk-in shower, a curved furniture-styled vanity with porcelain lavatory top, a sleek and energy efficient luxury performance toilet, with faucet and shower fixtures in chrome finish. Safety is a must for our projects and this decorative grab bar that matches the towel holder accessories is evidence of that as it provides both functional and aesthetic attributes. 18”x18” porcelain tiles in a brown marble pattern was a great choice as these over-sized tiles increased the feeling of the room while the rich cherry finish of the vanity complimented the brown veining of the tile nicely. This newly remodeled master bath is clearly an example of making the most out of a small space. Beauty, functionality and style – it has it all!

Contemporary Clubhouse Bringing the outdoors inside for a bright and colorful indoor playroom perfect for playtime, arts and crafts or schoolwork. Storage: This playroom offers storage options on every wall, in every corner and even on the floor. The myWall storage and entertainment unit offers countless storage options and configurations along the main wall with open shelving, hanging buckets, closed shelves and pegs, anything you want to store or hang can find a home. Even the floor under the myWall panel is a custom floordrobe perfect for all those small floor toys or blankets. The pasture wall has a shelving unit cloaked as another tree in the field offering opened and closed cubbies for books or toys. The sink and craft area offers a home to all the kids craft supplies nestled right into the countertop with colorful containers and buckets. Growth: While this playroom provides fun and creative options for children from 2-12 it can adapt and grow with this family as their children grow and their interests or needs change. The myWall system is developed to offer easy and immediate customization with simple adjustments every element of the wall can be moved offering endless possibilities. The full myWall structure can be moved along with the family if necessary. The sink offers steps for the small children but as they grow they can be removed. Safety: The playroom is designed to keep the main space open to allow for creative and safe playtime without obstacles. The myWall system uses a custom locking mechanism to ensure that all elements are securely locked into place not to fall or become loose from wear. Custom cushioned floor rugs offer another level of safety and comfort to the little ones playing on the floor.
