The Fisher-Bliss House is a unique historic home overlooking Edgartown harbor. Working with Historic New England, the project was designed by Patrick Ahearn, Architects Inc. The project combined extensive renovation with careful historic preservation and restoration of original detail. The skillfully designed and integrated architectural plan supports new bathrooms, a state of the art kitchen, updated mechanical systems, and new landscaping that blends seamlessly with the architecture and character of the area and homes of this period. TBI managed the project as the Owners' Representative.

Elegant entryway photo in Dallas

Located in the Denver area, this entry was transformed with a new round top knotty alder door with raised panel surround. Decorative glue chip glass allows light into the entryway, but also affords privacy, and unique custom ironwork provides security and style.

The wooden gate along the alley of this home was not repairable. We collaborated with the architecture firm Urban Design Perspectives to develop a gate design echoing the Spanish Colonial style of the home. The gate was built by attaching Azek® trim to metal tabs welded on the vertical iron bars. The gate provides privacy, security and just enough transparency. Photos by Greg Schmidt

Another sustainable solution. We use a lot of privacy screens in our projects. These are the backdrop to the dance floor patio and are made in Australia from 100% recycled plastic. This setting is adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico which is hard on materials. Matrix Decor Screens are suited to all climatic conditions and will never rot, rust, splinter or leach out their color. These screens are not affected by continuous exposure to moist, salty air and will not stain walls or paving. An historic estate in the Hamptons, this project called for style-appropriate long-lasting hardware. The arched gates were outfitted with solid bronze gate latches, hinges, and cane bolts. Gates were hung with 4” Solid Bronze Heavy Duty Button Tip Hinges. Solid Bronze 20” Cane Bolts hold the fixed gate in place. The gates had relatively narrow stiles (vertical members) and so the box latch was used. The box latch has a shorter latching arm, which means it can be used on gates with narrow stiles. On the other side is a 5” plate with octagonal handle. NB: These site photos were taken from an active construction site in the midst of winter. Gates and hardware show rain and dirt.
