By removing a wall that separated the kitchen to the old dining room, this space almost double in size! The contrast of the black island, pendants, and dining furniture adds a modern flair, while the custom valances adds softness to the whole space.

A subtle contrast in textures between the white hand-made subway tiles in the shower and smooth quartzite counter top adds softness to this modern bathroom update. A crisp blue-gray paint adds a hint of color to warm up the space.

Inspiration for a modern home office remodel in Dallas

After my client bought her first new-build home, she came to me looking for inspiration and direction. I created this fresh, monochromatic, and modern look by starting the a neutral base, clean lines, geometric patterns, and pops of black and teal. The pale blue paint on the walls is an unexpected way to add warmth and build contrast. Lastly, a few simple accessories layer in texture and add a hint of femininity to this space.

This renovated basement is a moody, elevated entertaining space designed for gathering, unwinding, and lingering a little longer. A rich black paneled wall sets a dramatic backdrop, balanced by light wood floors, warm neutral upholstery, and sculptural brass accents that add a subtle glow. The mix of tailored furnishings and organic elements creates a refined yet relaxed atmosphere—equally suited for bourbon tastings, game nights, or shooting pool in the billiards room. Thoughtful lighting and bold artwork bring depth and personality, while the open layout allows the space to flow effortlessly from bar to game table to lounge. This Sunroom was such a challenge! It is long and narrow, had has either windows or openings on every wall. By defining this room into two living spaces, angling the seating for a more open flow, and keeping consistency in the rugs, chandeliers, and finishes, this room feels airy, livable, and inviting. The fresh and cool color palette unifies this Sunroom with the surrounding outdoor patio and porch, bringing the outdoors in.
