After living in a cramped kitchen for more than 20 years, he decided it was time to give himself the best gift he could think of--seamless design and perfect functionality. We kept the same footprint, save for a small closet that was removed to provide some extra counter space, and we worked to visually open up the space. We removed the upper cabinets flanking the sink and replaced them with one bank of open shelving. We moved the stove to a more functional spot and added counter depth refrigerator to open up the space even more. The new kitchen was the perfect venue for a big 50th birthday bash!

Laundry sink accessories include: a custom-painted swing-arm scrolled towel stand, doggie cookie jar, scrolled bird finial paper towel holder, silk hydrangeas, and custom soaps. A vintage Provence urn holding extra gift wrap is nearby. A large-scaled, contemporary-designed New Zealand wool rug softens and compliments the antique, original hardwood floors .

Before + After ?❤️ This closest had it ALL - party supplies, gift wrapping items, gifts and a few other random things. We reorganized this space putting all the party supplies at the top, gift wrapping items on one side and extra gifts on the other side. Arts & crafts supplies on the next shelf. Even had extra room for a suitcase and swimming bag at the bottom.

The purpose of this renovation was to create better flow through this pass through dining room in this bungalow house. By building a shelving unit on the window wall and including a window seat we were able to move the table back and create a good sized walkway and also give extra storage in the window seat for holiday dishes for the client. The dining table was constructed by a very gifted local woodworker out of maple and stained to match the clients furnishings. We purchased metal legs for the table.

After repairing the damage and cleaning the mold and floor... Property Manager installed new upper cabinets, we painted the lower cabinets to freshen up. All cabinets had a gift of new brushed nickle knobs. The refrigerator was re-positioned to provide access to the drawer unit and small cabinet beside. We installed two 12" Ikea shelves beside the fridge for extra storage and carry the look down from the new extended upper cabinets above the fridge providing balance and ensuring there was not a long enpty space beside the fridge. The backsplash was wallpapered in a modern textured Graham & Brown paper. This paper gives the illusion of tiles, provides texture, and is washable. The property manager also replaced the countertop and sink. While the countertop is a neutral color it has a black fleck that ties into the kitchen color scheme. Over the stove we had a problem with the fuse panel popping open. We used an Ikea utility bar to hold the panel in place, and the metal of the fuse panel as a magnetic board to hold a kitchen timer and picture. This lovely lady's grown children gave her a wonderful gift last Christmas. A number of pieces in her home needed to be reupholstered and they took care of it for her, inviting me in while they were visiting. The dining room chairs originally were a stark white. They were reupholstered with a soft ecru solid seat and back, with a medallion pattern on the back of the chairs adding a little extra style! Maryann Fisher
