This boulder was hand picked to act as a natural column at the end of the retaining wall. The wall itself is a cemented block wall built on a concrete footing with Connecticut Stone's Nantucket Thin Veneer Stone and a Smokey Mt. Blue Granite cap. The Boston City Hall Paver Brick is set dry with a gray Polymeric sand. It adds a great contrast to this traditional look.

Inspiration for a large transitional backyard stone formal garden.

Development of a small area as a destination for prayer and meditation was very important to our client. A Yinyang symbol was important request and a platform for a small shrine-like sculpture he envisioned. The sculpture was partially installed late last year by an artist and completed this spring with the addition of the a stained glass door with the image of Serbian Saint Sveta Petka.
