The unplanned growth of a true Tuscan farmhouse kitchen is mirrored here by combining different style cabinetry and counters and by using the dining table as an integral workspace. Our clients wanted a space that exuded professionalism with a personal edge—equal parts executive function and whisky-bar ambiance. The result is a refined office with tailored details, curated materials, and an unmistakable sense of style. A custom wall of built-in wood cabinetry anchors the space, framed by a rich charcoal stone backsplash and enhanced with integrated LED cabinetry lighting that casts a subtle, dramatic glow. These modern lighting elements highlight the open shelving and glass-paneled displays, giving this functional wall the presence of a luxe gallery installation. The sleek Polanco executive desk—handcrafted from oyster-cut salvaged Mexican ash and sustainably harvested European ash burl—is a showpiece in its own right, its sculptural form and deep wood grain balancing the room’s structured lines. The tufted black leather Dylan Sofa introduces softness and texture, while gold accents and a fur throw infuse the space with layered warmth. Project Overview: This bespoke game room edition was crafted for a private residential client seeking a fusion of entertainment and upscale interior design. The goal was to develop statement pieces that not only deliver premium game performance but also elevate the visual ambiance of the home. Featured Products: Contemporary Billiard Table Design Language: A modern reimagination of the classic pool table, this piece features a light oak finish with vertically fluted cylindrical legs, complementing the architectural lines of the space. Materials: Solid hardwood construction with a black felt playing surface, creating a bold contrast. Functionality: Professional-grade playing experience, designed to blend seamlessly into luxury interiors. Modern Poker Table Design Highlights: Upholstered in black leather with integrated chip trays and drink holders, framed by a gold accent trim. The matching fluted pedestal base brings unity with the billiard table. Details: High-density cushioning, suede inner racetrack, and fine detailing for a high-stakes feel in a home environment. Custom Elements: Tailored dimensions and finishes to match existing decor. Interior Integration: Both tables are positioned within a space defined by marble textures, rich wood tones, and ambient lighting. The furniture aligns with the high-end finishes of the environment — including natural stone walls, herringbone wood floors, and contemporary art-inspired panels. Client Outcome: The result is a cohesive, high-design game room that balances entertainment with sophistication. These pieces not only serve as functional game tables but also as artful additions to the living space.

This was such a special project that we were completely honored to be trusted with. Our client had saved over 400 corks over a decade and was looking for help to incorporate them into a piece of furniture. Our thought behind the design was to create something that had a resemblance to a window since these corks all represented memories she could look back on. When you are dealing with material as priceless as that, the stakes are high but we are excited with how this turned out! The case is a solid walnut with a hand rubbed and burnished oil finish to help accentuate the beautiful grain pattern. Our goal was to make the top the star of the show so we tried to make the drawer as discreet as so instead of adding hardware we made it a push to open drawer with a nice soft close. The steel base is flush all around the case and provides a nice contrast and mix of materials. The top has a 1/4" thick piece of glass. Each section of cork is broken up by sections of flat black steel that are then framed out with bead molding which draws the eye toward the obvious feature of the corks. We are so honored to be trusted with such a precious piece and thrilled that our client loved the finished result!

This 7,500 SF spec house, built in the early 1980s, underwent extensive remodeling to transform much of its interior spaces into a simple and yet elegant French style country house. Designed by Joszi Meskan, the 2-1/2 year long project involved teams of skilled craftsmen from different trades and a knowledgeable client, who was not only a family friend but also played a major role in the design process. As both project designer and carpenter, Lawrence Cheung helped his father supervise the project from the early stages of demolition to project completion. Reclaimed barn timbers that span high above the foyer and two-story living room were transported from a lumber mill in San Rafael, CA. Large quantities of French oak boards were purchased from France to be used for both flooring and the wall panels in the living and dining rooms. Each board was then pain-stakingly hand-scraped and distressed before going through a multi-step staining and finishing process. The baseboards, door casings, and European shutters were all custom made in white oak and later finished to match the warm honey-tone of the French oak panels.
