The entry to this home leads right into the open plan living area, from where the kitchen is clearly visible. From the outside, visitors see beautiful Texas Cedar columns, which tie into the cedar door frame into the living room and cedar beams along the high ceilings. Limestone lines the fireplace and wall that divides the living room and kitchen, for a true Texas feel in this spacious, yet cozy home.

Notice the strip of "plug molding" installed below the window sill in this view. With electrical outlets located 4-6 inches, multiple small appliances, chafing dishes and utensils can be placed here for buffet service while entertaining. It's "Street + Smith's" Cornell tiel on the countertop and backsplash. The pattern is actually "printed" on the natural marble tile. Their many patterns offer a wonderful alternative to water-jet tiles - and can be installed for light horizontal use as you see here.
