Branksome Road Set within a Bournemouth conservation zone; Branksome Woods provided the challenge of designing additional, modern space for a growing family whilst respecting sensitive contextual conditions. Footprint Architects responded by continuing the existing roofline across the property, providing an extra two bedrooms whilst also allowing the proposal to blend seamlessly with the properties existing form, whilst breathing new life into the look of the dated building. On the ground floor, the kitchen and dinning area were re-organised and extended out from the property in a brick form that exhibits views of the garden, with an alternative contrasting timber rear entrance to provide improved access to the house from the drive and garage. The design changes have transformed the quality and functionality of Branksome Woods, providing modern additional space, with a minimal impact on the surrounding context. The project was completed in November 2017.

This backyard renovation in Coquitlam included the construction of a durable Allen Block retaining wall system designed to create a functional transition between the lower concrete patio and the upper landscaped yard. The project involved excavation, compacted road base preparation, and installation of proper gravel drainage behind the wall to ensure long-term stability and effective water management. Integrated landscape stairs were built using matching retaining wall blocks to provide safe and convenient access between outdoor levels while maintaining a clean and cohesive design. The new tiered layout not only improves drainage and prevents soil movement but also enhances the overall appearance and usability of the backyard. This upgrade was part of a larger exterior renovation project that focused on improving both the functionality and visual appeal of the outdoor living space.

We have completed another project at 99 Knoxlyn Road Gettysburg, PA 17325. The Sterners are in love with the work that we have provided for them. We have removed and replaced the existing vinyl siding, soffit, gutters, and spouts. Replaced deteriorated sheeting and trim boards. Demolish and removed the small structure and attached chimney that houses the wood stove. We installed flashings to all the window and door opening. Install house wrap air and water penetration vapor barrier. We installed faux stone veneer finish under the front porch roof. We removed the cedar shake roof from the front bay window and replaced it with a copper standing seam roof. We also have constructed a pergola to cover the side patio.
