A brand new kitchen design fit for this young Texan fashionista! We reconfigured the floor plan, closing off the original kitchen entryway and opening up the adjacent dining room. This greatly increased the amount of space and light, creating the perfect setting for soft blue-gray cabinets. Detail is everything in this home, so for the kitchen & dining area we incorporated glamorous hardware, lustrous mirror decor, and a brass lighting fixture above the dining table. Designed by Joy Street Design serving Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and the whole of the East Bay. A gorgeous kitchen showcasing a brand new color palette of gray and bold blue! As this was the client’s childhood home, we wanted to preserve her memories while still refreshing the interior and bringing it up-to-date. We started with a new spatial layout and increased the size of wall openings to create the sense of an open plan without removing all the walls. By adding a more functional layout and pops of color throughout the space, we were able to achieve a youthful update to a cherished space without losing all the character and memories that the homeowner loved. Mid-century modern white tile claw-foot bathtub photo in Los Angeles with a pedestal sink

Brand: Brookhaven Door Style: Edgemont Recessed Finish: Nordic White on Maple Countertop: Granite "Picasso" This Early 1990’s house with pickled oak cabinets needed a new kitchen desperately. The homeowners liked the basic layout, but we were able to get them an island with seating, allowing them and their guests to enjoy visiting with the cook. This also created more efficient storage and practical counter space. We also modified a closet with new, more accessible shelving. Storage and counter space have increased dramatically. Preparing a meal and entertaining guests has never been more enjoyable!
