Stone: Seashell - Cut Coarse Stone Cut Coarse Stone is reminiscent of a saw-cut Turkish Limestone. The highly textural and yet contemporary linear-style installs with a clean, dry-stack application. This stone is the perfect scale for an efficient installation, appealing to both commercial and residential exteriors and interiors. The stones include three different heights of 3″, 6″ and 9″ and various lengths from 12″ to 24″. The muted color palette is indicative of natural limestone. Designer: Ramona Tan, CKBR This client plans to Age in Place in her home. Her bathroom remodel required Aging in Place features without compromising her contemporary style. Replacing the tub with a shower and corner bench provided better usability for the client with easier maintenance. The shower pan was treated with a material that was different in pattern and texture in order to visually indicate a change in flooring transition. Lever style fixtures provided ease of use with minimal dexterity required. Attractive grab bars were strategically placed per client’s specific needs (ie. a seated position at the toilet and shower bench).

A luxury residence in Tahoe, California featuring wire-brushed select Bavarian Oak wide-plank wood floors in a custom finish. The "select" indicates that the wood planks that were chosen show fewer knots and distressing. Arrigoni Woods specializes in wide-plank wood flooring, both recycled and engineered. Our wood comes from old-growth Western European forests that are sustainably managed. Arrigoni's uniquely engineered wood (which has the look and feel of solid wood) features a trio of layered engineered planks, with a middle layer of transversely laid vertical grain spruce, providing a solid core.

Christmas holiday design for an amazing animal conservation ranch in Texas. Our goal was to deliver a holiday scheme indicative of rustic Texas. For year 2012 our look was to design with a color palette of forest green, rust, brown, cream and gold pulling from the use of natural elements, often found on the ranch, such as pheasant and ostrich feathers, deer sheds, lichen covered branches, beautiful vintage fowl and small critter taxidermy, massive pine comes, silver birch branches etc.. mixed with vintage wood skis, copper bladed ice skates, rustic lanterns, etc..

The bones of this 1908 Glen Park home had been compromised by years and years of awkward remodels. The front door led directly to the private bedroom level, while the public gathering spaces were one-level down, with the main staircase nearly dropping you into the existing kitchen. Potentially spectacular views of an existing mature redwood tree and broad city views beyond were entirely ignored and inaccessible. We first unraveled the knot of the plan with a new split-level entryway and connecting stair. We then opened up the rear of the home to the views, using the huge backyard conifer as design inspiration for a perforated steel guardrail connecting the new interior and exterior space seamlessly. A lower expansion connects the home to the yard and alleyway garage entry. The Pinales House is indicative of the scale of remodel many young families can consider; a scale at which strategic design choices are key to discovering the unrealized potential of the home and site.

Axis Desk Architecturally inspired, the Axis collection gives a nod to its Mid-century Modern and Art Deco design roots. Using elements indicative of the era, it contains a gathering of linear shapes and complementing curved silhouettes all working together to create a timely, yet timeless style. This geometrically satisfying collection appeals to the inner architect and designer using stylized decorative elements and unique materials and finishes that are sure to bring a sense of sophistication to any home.

A sculptural contemporary hallway at Modern Living at Versailles merges functional elegance with artistic intent. The corridor features floor-to-ceiling walnut paneling juxtaposed with polished terrazzo flooring, illuminated by a linear LED cove lighting system that accentuates curated artwork installations. Designed for accessibility, it includes 42-inch clear width passages and tactile path indicators embedded in the flooring. The space serves as both a circulation hub and gallery, with concealed storage niches behind flush-mounted cabinets and acoustically treated ceilings for noise reduction.
