Supply and installation of feature stone to this wonderful design studio in Melbourne. The space is used for customers to select products and styles for their new homes. Every piece of stone in this job was cut and over 700 mitred corners make it look amazing.
The Myers Touch
In collaboration with the client’s architect, AR Design the layout of the kitchen was already in place. However, upon meeting the client it was clear she wanted a ‘wow’ island, symmetry in design and plenty of functional storage.
As well as a contemporary, family-friendly space it was also important the space that still respected the heritage of the house. The original walls of the property had many angled walls and featured some tight spaces, so careful consideration of SieMatic's cabinetry choices was given to ensure maximum functionality in those spaces. After much consideration, The Myers Touch specified SieMatic’s SC10 Cabinetry in a Provence Oak Laminate finish which was placed in a framed-style at the rear wall.
The same cabinetry was specified for under the island to create contrast with the new and original material features in the space. In order for the family to keep the kitchen uncluttered, careful planning of internal storage systems was considered in the form of using SieMatic’s internal Drawer boxes and their MultiMatic internal storage system which were used to store smaller items such as spices and sauces, as well whilst providing space for slide-out drawers and storage baskets.
To ensure an elegant yet ‘wow’ factor central island, The Myers Touch combined contrasting textures by using 30mm Silestone Eternal Calacatta natural stone, polished worktops with ‘waterfall island’ edges and a Corian solid surface back panel. The distinctive geometric patterned Corian panel in Cameo White looks particularly spectacular at night when the owner's turn on the architectural-toned lighting under the island.
Appliances chosen for the island included a sophisticated Elica Illusion extractor hood so it could be totally integrated in the new architectural space without visual distraction, a Siemens iQ500 Induction Hob with touch-slide control and a Caple Under-counter Wine cabinet.
To maximise every inch of the new space, and to ensure the owners had a place for everything, The Myers Touch also used additional cabinetry and storage options in the island such as extra deep drawers to store saucepans, cutlery, and everyday crockery.
The eye-catching Antique-bronze mirrored splashback not only helps to provide the illusion of extra space, but reinforces family ‘togetherness’ as it reflects and links the rear of the kitchen ‘snug’ area where family members can sit and relax or work when not in the main kitchen extension area.
The original toned brickwork and 18th Century steel windows in the original part of the extension also helps to tell the story about the older part of the house which now juxtaposes to the new, contemporary kitchen living extension. A handy door was also included in the extension which leads to the garage on the main road for family convenience and over-flow storage.

ShapeHouse UK
See How Liz’s Walton-On-Thames Home Was Transformed With A Rear Extension, Internal Remodel, And New Roof In Just 12 Weeks.
Liz, a homeowner in the charming town of Walton-on-Thames, had a few items on her ShapeHouse shopping list. She was looking to add more space and functionality to her home and was particularly interested in a rear extension and internal remodel.
The first item on Liz’s list was a new kitchen and partition wall. The existing kitchen was outdated and didn’t provide enough counter space or storage. The team at ShapeHouse worked with Liz to create a new, modern kitchen design that would meet all of her needs. They also added a partition wall to create a separate dining area, providing a more functional space for her and her family.
The second item on Liz’s list was a complete roof work. The home’s roof showed signs of wear and tear and needed attention to ensure it was in good condition. The team at ShapeHouse was able to replace the roof and ensure that the home was well-protected from the elements.
The internal remodel was another significant aspect of the project, involving a complete overhaul of the existing living spaces. The team worked to create a cohesive, modern design throughout the entire home while still maintaining the unique character of the property.
Liz also wanted a new patio to create an outdoor living area to enjoy with her family and friends. The new patio provided a comfortable and stylish space for entertaining and relaxing, adding to the overall functionality and appeal of the home.
Overall, the team at ShapeHouse was able to deliver on all of Liz’s requests, creating a beautiful, functional home that met all of her needs. The combination of a new kitchen, partition wall, complete roof work, new patio, internal remodel, and rear extension transformed Liz’s home into a comfortable and inviting space that she and her family can enjoy for years to come.

This house in Ascot had already been extended with a single storey extension to the back of the property. However, the internal space had not been reconfigured at the time resulting in a small dark internal kitchen and difficult to use spaces.
Our brief was to reconfigure all the internal spaces, without moving the existing staircase. Most of the internal walls were removed and the services of a Structural Engineer were engaged to calculate the required structural steels.
The kitchen had to be designed fully bespoke to fit the unique area we had created.
Covid 19 had had an impact on the finishing of the project which meant we had to finish the project in late November.
Inspired Elements Ltd
This is a project of an urban open space flat located in Swiss Cottage part of Camden in London. The interior designer was trying to design a built-in wardrobe that will look spacious and provide a lot of reflection on light and keeping the openness of the room. Our Linear Glass Wardrobe was selected to furnish this bedroom. For functionality, we put in practical accessories like shoe racks, drawer organisers and glass shelves. We also used recessed LED lighting on this wardrobe with sensors. The glass shelves also have built in integrated LED lights to work with the doors.
The colour for the internal fitted bedroom carcass was dark wood grain which matched very well with the door frame colour. We also used a grey tinted glass which would keep the internals obscure when the lights are off. Grey tinted mirror becomes transparent when internal LED lights are on is dark when the lights are off.
This wardrobe also has an Island which works well for rooms that have space for this. The island has a matching tinted grey glass top with drawer organisers for jewelry under this top. This allows you to see your jewelry, ties, and watches when you are getting ready.
Linear Glass Fitted Wardrobe is a good selection for flats in London similar to this flat in Swiss Cottage – Camden where space is of value and looks are paramount and require Fitted Bedroom Furniture. As a manufacturer of bespoke bedroom furniture, we can bespoke this wardrobe to any internal colour and accessories to meet any requirements interior designers demand.

Reimagined Trend Kitchen in Horsham, West Sussex
Situated in a quaint Horsham Close this project undertook more than just a kitchen renovation, with significant ancillary and building work undertaken to create a flowing kitchen diner space for the client.
The most important element to this project was space. The client had a vision to combine a smaller kitchen area with a dining room that didn’t function as they wished to use it. The previous layout of this property meant that the client did not end up using the dining room to its full potential, which with the our input has now changed dramatically.
Achieving this not only required the work of our expert designers but an array of our installation team who specialise in this kind of internal building work. With their experience a small archway between the kitchen and dining room was transformed into a wide, blown open space that would soon function as an open-plan kitchen diner for the client. Alongside the internal structure of the property a full plaster of all walls was also undertaken to achieve a show home like finish, ready for the customer to put their personal touches into a kitchen and dining space.
Kitchen Furniture
With a blank canvas achieved thanks to the internal shake up, the client was free to implement their dream kitchen space, leaning on the timeless combination of Cream shaker furniture and sparkling white worktops. To create a well-balanced kitchen space supplier choice was key. Although taken by the shaker style kitchen door, the client also desired a slightly contemporary twist that would help maintain a subtle present-day feel. For this aesthetic, supplier Trend was a perfect choice. Utilising their vast range of modern shaker style options, the eventual choice of a foiled matt shaker was selected in the light neutral colour option of Ivory.
Upon deciding the general theme of the kitchen furniture, it was then up to kitchen designer George Harvey from our Horsham showroom to make the most of the space with a layout that would facilitate this client’s initial brief. One of the most impressive elements of this project is the peninsula island space. Recessed slightly into and around the previous dividing wall, this space gives storage, surface space and the flexibility of casual dining. The remaining kitchen furniture is used in an L-shape and also houses the majority of kitchen appliances. Wall units are used to disguise a boiler, integrated extractor and to provide extra storage space above.
To keep the kitchen theme undisturbed integrated appliances have been used where possible, with an integrated dishwasher, washing machine and integrated extractor hood all disguised behind the Ivory door fronts. All appliances throughout this space have been installed by our qualified team with plumbing and appliances connected as part of the project.
The main appliance choices that the client had to make were in regard to cooking appliances, where they sought a combination of capacity and flexibility. A built-under double oven gives capacity with two cavities to cook from in, an appliance that also incorporates a neat LCD display and easy clean functionality. Flexibility when cooking has been fused into the cooking appliances with a four zone N50 hob from our renowned appliance supplier Neff, giving the option of instant and powerful cooking to the client.
Kitchen Accessories
Various accessories have been used across this project to maintain the theme, each providing a blend between the traditional kitchen style and the contemporary feel that the client desired. A neat inclusion is the traditional Belfast sink which is one of the classic kitchen elements that client specified for this project. It is matched with a contemporary chrome mixer tap from German supplier Blanco’s Max range and shows just one instance where a fusion of styles has been used in this space.
The worktops selected are from Silestone, a quartz worktop manufacturer which utilises up to eighty-percent natural quartz in their worktops. Using quartz worktops not only gives a great aesthetic, it means that surfaces are highly resistant to heat, impact and they are also non-porous so are impervious to water. To bring a glittering shine to this project the popular Stellar Blanco has been used in thirty-millimetre thickness to give a beautiful gleaming appearance.
Kitchen Features
With extensive building work being undertaken this was an ideal opportunity for the client to replace general features while the work was taking place. With our experienced installation team on hand flooring, heating and lighting improvements have been made. Radiators have been replaced with two full height radiators from supplier Eastbrook. Both radiators were selected in a Matt White finish with useful towel rails incorporated on the kitchen radiator to dry tea towels after use.
With plastering and decorating taking place, our electrician has seamlessly installed downlights and pendant lighting above the island area to bring well-spaced lighting options. To bring ambient lighting in the evening undercabinet spotlighting is included beneath wall units and to complete the installation, Warm Oak Karndean flooring has been fitted throughout the kitchen space as well as other areas in the property. For easy cleaning a transparent glass splashback has also been included above the induction hob area.
Our Kitchen Design & Installation Service
This project really highlights the benefits of using our complete installation option for your renovation. By choosing this service the client was able to achieve a completely updated kitchen space with new flooring, plumbing, plastering and lighting. What’s more is that all this work was seamlessly organised and manged by our project management team. Nestled into the steeply sloping site and overlooking the Salcombe estuary, a key design driver for the house was maximising the view and connection with the garden, and large areas of glazing were provided no the south elevation. This glazing can be opened up to allow the outside spaces to become part of the living experience.
The house is entered at first floor, with living and kitchen areas at this level, and a large balcony directly off these spaces was therefore critical to provide outside dining and living space. Below this the bedrooms are sheltered by the overhang – giving protection and privacy. The swimming pool is located directly outside of the two bedrooms, and reflects morning sunlight onto the ceilings of the bedrooms.
The central entrance hall forms an axis off which all rooms flow, and the full-height glazing at both ends gives an immediate view of the sea upon entering the house. The concrete and timber staircase sits within this main axis and is a feature element of the house design. A full-length glass-roof slot is located above the staircase, washing natural light down into the entrance hall and bedroom hallway below.

Our clients wanted to create more space and re-configure the rooms they already had in this terraced house in London SW2. The property was just not big enough to accommodate their busy family life or for entertaining family and friends. They wanted a usable back garden too.
One of the main ambitions was to create enough space downstairs for an additional family room combined with a large kitchen dining area. It was essential to be able to divide the different activity spaces too.
The final part of the brief was to create something different. The design had to be more than the usual “box stuck on the back of a 1930s house.”
Our solution was to look at several ambitious designs to deliver under permitted development. This approach would reduce the cost and timescale of the project significantly. However, as a back-up, we also applied to Lambeth Council for full planning permission for the same design, but with different materials such as a roof clad with zinc.
Internally we extended to the rear of the property to create the large family-friendly kitchen, dining and living space our client wanted. The original front room has been divided off with steel framed doors that are double glazed to help with soundproofing. We used a hedgehog glazing system, which is very effective.
The extension has a stepped plan, which helps to create internal zoning and to separate the different rooms’ functions. There is a non-symmetrical pitched roof, which is open internally up to the roof planes to maximise the feeling of space.
The roof of the extension is clad in zinc with a concealed gutter and an overhang to provide shelter. Black bricks and dark grey mortar give the impression of one material, which ties into the colour of the glazing frames and roof. This palate brings all the elements of the design together, which complements a polished concrete internal floor and a stylish contemporary kitchen by Piqu.
