This transitional style dining room was designed around the clients existing dining chairs that were black and gold. We changed them to a grey lacquer to match the zebra Lee Jofa upholstered fabric. Dining table is custom from the John Andrew showroom at DCOTA. The chandelier is by FLOS and the two chairs flanking the buffet are from Hutton Home at David Sutherland and covered in a silver silk fabric with matching pillows. www.bhuf.com

Pool - large transitional backyard pool idea in Miami

Living room. The custom made Knole sofa was made extra deep so it can be used as a bed for an overnight guest. The Parson style bookcases supply some much needed book storage. The antique map sets the stage for the room. The walls are white to create a gallery like setting so the individual pieces are well defined. Michael J Lee

We created a cozy seating area with four Lee Industries swivel chairs around a round leather ottoman. This room is very bright with a lot of windows and white walls, so the colorful fabrics give it some depth and warmth. John Magor Photography

This ocean-front shingled Gambrel style house is home to a young family with little kids who lead an active, outdoor lifestyle. My goal was to create a bespoke, colorful and eclectic interior that looked sophisticated and fresh, but that was tough enough to withstand salt, sand and wet kids galore. The palette of coral and blue is an obvious choice, but we tried to translate it into a less expected, slightly updated way, hence the front door! Liberal use of indoor-outdoor fabrics created a seamless appearance while preserving the utility needed for this full time seaside residence. photo: Michael J Lee Photography
