Our team recently had the privilege of working with some of our favorite repeat clients who had just moved into their new home. Project Manager, Tony Cicchino, and Designer, Justina Auer, joined forces to work their magic and the results are truly remarkable! The clients wanted to transform and empty room into a multipurpose mudroom and laundry space. Featuring the main laundry machines and ample storage for all the garage overflow, the room is now a hub of organization. The base cabinets were cleverly designed to be built up a few inches to keep harmful items away from little ones and offer an excellent level space for folding and sorting clothes. Practicality meets style! The clients also left their previous home with fond memories of the built-ins we installed in their previous home, and they wanted a similar setup for their new game room. We happily obliged, crafting a perfect space for books, games and home décor. The window seat even includes drawers for additional storage – ideal for keeping the kids’ stuff in check! This Kiawah marsh front home in the “Settlement” was sculpted into its unique setting among live oaks that populate the long, narrow piece of land. The unique composition afforded a 35-foot wood and glass bridge joining the master suite with the main house, granting the owners a private escape within their own home. Our clients live in a country club community and were looking to renovate their unfinished basement. The client knew he wanted to include a gym, theater, and gaming center. We incorporated a Home Automation system for this project, providing for music playback, movie watching, lighting control, and security integration. Our challenges included a short construction deadline and several structural issues. The original basement had a floor-to-ceiling height of 8’-0” with several columns running down the center of the basement that interfered with the seating area of the theater. Our design/build team installed a second beam adjacent to the original to help distribute the load, enabling the removal of columns. The theater had a water meter projecting a foot out from the front wall. We retrofitted a piece of A/V acoustically treated furniture to hide the meter and gear. This homeowner originally planned to include a putting green on his project, until we demonstrated a Visual Sports Golf Simulator. The ceiling height was two feet short of optimal swing height for a simulator. Our client was committed, we excavated the corner of the basement to lower the floor. To accent the space, we installed a custom mural printed on carpet, based upon a photograph from the neighboring fairway of the client’s home. By adding custom high-impact glass walls, partygoers can join in on the fun and watch the action unfold while the sports enthusiasts can view the party or ball game on TV! The Visual Sports system allows guests and family to not only enjoy golf, but also sports such as hockey, baseball, football, soccer, and basketball. We overcame the structural and visual challenges of the space by using floor-to-glass walls, removal of columns, an interesting mural, and reflective floor surfaces. The client’s expectations were exceeded in every aspect of their project, as evidenced in their video testimonial and the fact that all trades were invited to their catered Open House! The client enjoys his golf simulator so much he had tape on five of his fingers and his wife informed us he has formed two golf leagues! This project transformed an unused basement into a visually stunning space providing the client the ultimate fun get-a-away!

Drama created with simple lines and a bold finish that draws all eyes, this entertainment credenza will be the star of the show with its stunningly artistic Engineered Contrast Ebony finish. The case offers four push-to-open doors that easily store any entertainment or gaming equipment, and is supported by four black diagonal legs joined by horizontal and vertical stretchers.

The client’s coastal New England roots inspired this Shingle style design for a lakefront lot. With a background in interior design, her ideas strongly influenced the process, presenting both challenge and reward in executing her exact vision. Vintage coastal style grounds a thoroughly modern open floor plan, designed to house a busy family with three active children. A primary focus was the kitchen, and more importantly, the butler’s pantry tucked behind it. Flowing logically from the garage entry and mudroom, and with two access points from the main kitchen, it fulfills the utilitarian functions of storage and prep, leaving the main kitchen free to shine as an integral part of the open living area. On the "must haves" list was add color, make it approachable and cozy, and keep the sunshine pouring in. The front rooms open to each other, so creating a flow connecting the spaces was important - however, giving each space its own twist was priority. We selected a bold red paint on the exterior of the front door and a classic, chevron-patterned, textured grasscloth for the Entry to set the stage. Lighting and furnishings were layered in for added pops of color and functionality. The Living Room furnishings were selected to maximize seating and relaxation. We delivered on color with the addition of an uber comfy, lime green swivel chair and placed it bordering the Living Room and Dining Room so one could join both conversations. The Dining Room walls were painted a moody blue to create a backdrop for chic dinner parties and record listening sessions. Reupholstered vintage dining chairs brought their own stories to the table while a custom made buffet stores oodles of board games and records. Custom window treatments in both spaces added the necessary privacy while allowing the sun to shine through and create the perfect sunny spots for their sweet dog to nap. Adding in artwork provided the fun punctuations in these two areas. When my client mentioned that she loves to sit out on the deck with a cup of tea and listen to the birds sing, my first thought was - let's have them join you inside! We reimagined the Breakfast Nook seating and created a custom banquette to perch on amongst the sweetest bird themed wallpaper. The Breakfast Nook's color palette of olive green and saturated orange paired with the lovely natural light is calming and perfectly reflective of our client's disposition.

This ordinary house was redesigned and dramatically transformed into a stately Georgian Colonial style home. The exterior is all brick, has 5 chimneys, 6 dormers and many other architectural features. The new floor plan features a grand foyer, a new kitchen and a master suite among many other changes to create an open and functional layout. The living space was expanded by adding a 2-story addition to the front, rear and south elevations. A breezeway and carriage style garage with a bonus room was added to the north end. The front elevation addition features a beautiful new porch with stone balusters and a courtyard. The back of this Georgian style home is as spectacular as the front. A 2 story addition was also added to the back to include a new kitchen and breakfast nook. A large terrace with stone pilasters that extends over the basement walkout patio was also part of the design. Brick piers rise from the lower level to the main level terrace and are joined by beautiful archways that add to the magnificent architecture. The basement was finished to include a theater room, wine cellar, bar, game room and much more. The new basement design opens up to a glorious new Gunite swimming pool and spa, complete with stone work, landscaping, landscape lighting, fireplace, all melding with the architectural style of this gorgeous home.
