Inspiration for a small southwestern pool remodel in Phoenix

We created this pool to be an extension of the boulder formation up hill from the courtyard. The interior of the pool is surfaced with sheets of river rock stone. Details include all natural granite boulders, mini boulders, local flagstone, reclaimed materials, a bridge, negative edge, fire features, pump water feature, underground pool vault, Pentair equipment, Intellitouch control system, and the Paramount PV3 in-floor system.

This Spool was designed to fit into a small backyard without taking up the majority of the space. At 5,700 gallons it is the perfect size. We shut down a lane of traffic and craned in locally sourced boulders and field stone from the DC Ranch development. Details include a custom lounge bench finished with river rock, spa jets in the bench and in the shallow area and travertine water line tile. We used Pentair equipment, Intellitouch control system, paramount PV3 in-floor system, and Pebble Sheen interior finish.

There are some pool projects where the customer comes to us with a budget rather than a vision. Such was the case with this stunning backyard outdoor entertainment paradise. With this particular project, we worked with the home's developer to create a backyard oasis that was every bit as stunning as the home itself. Working with a pre-determined budget, we had a few design parameters - there had to be an outdoor kitchen/entertainment area that could be used throughout most of the year. A spa was also on the list and they wanted the overall design of the pool area to be in perfect sync with the exterior of the home. With that as a base, we set to work, creating a pool area that became a natural extension of the home, along with a covered outdoor kitchen/entertainment area that would be a welcome respite when temperatures cool off as well as an ideal place for family and friends to cook, dine, relax and unwind. The stamped concrete pool deck has ample room for patio furniture where there are plenty of large umbrellas to provide cover from the sun. Two waterfalls, one that spills from the spa into the pool and the other that features a sheer descent coming from the lush planter, add a touch of elegance to the overall look. The free form pool features skyline blue tile and a gorgeous, Tropical Breeze PebbleTec plaster finish. A retaining wall was built around the outside perimeter of the pool area where the lush landscaping frames out this backyard oasis. The final result is an outdoor area that will provide year-round entertainment on a grand scale. And all delivered within the original budget parameters.
