The master bedroom can go from open and airy to cozy and confined at the press of a button through the use of shades. A TV is mounted in front of the bed and small in-ceiling speakers are sprinkled throughout. Photographer: Alexandra White Photography

Passing from the master bedroom to the attached bathroom, is a short hallway with closets on either side. To add interest, the ceiling was constructed in barrel shape, crown molding was engineered to house the indirect accent lighting and faux columns give the hallway additional weight and presentation. The in-wall equipment rack houses the surround sound receiver and the local Blu-Ray DVD player. All other video and streaming audio services are access from the main racks in the basement.

This 4500SF home was expanded from its original 1900SF. The additional square footage was achieved by adding to the existing second floor and reconfiguring the garage to increase the buildings footprint on the first floor. The result is a 4 bed, 4 bath home with a large office and separate entertainment room. The master bedroom opens up to a south facing deck. Inside, the home’s open floor plan, centered around the kitchen, is great for entertaining. The house has been fitted for a customized audio, video and security system which is accessible remotely.

Our serene Master Bedroom Suite has pinstripe bedding in linen as the duvet cover, embroidered pillow cases and Pointillism velvet pillows for accent. The shuttered headboard of the 4 Poster Bed adds a tropical vibe to the space. The white shag rug juxtaposed with the rustic easy going feel of the wide plank flooring completes the package. Three apartments were combined to create this 7 room home in Manhattan's West Village for a young couple and their three small girls. A kids' wing boasts a colorful playroom, a butterfly-themed bedroom, and a bath. The parents' wing includes a home office for two (which also doubles as a guest room), two walk-in closets, a master bedroom & bath. A family room leads to a gracious living/dining room for formal entertaining. A large eat-in kitchen and laundry room complete the space. Slate is a great way to go for neutral yet varied tones. It allows for so many different color schemes but still has that calming effect of natural stone. I wasn't crazy about the choice of slab coloring, but I love the idea of going doorless and carrying on to the tub deck. I think it turned out beautifully. This is a Corinth double pool project designed by Mike Farley . The client wanted a rustic tailored finish to blend with the existing flagstone porch and accent the great lake view. This project has a double pool vanishing edge with the top pool providing shallow area for basketball, volleyball and hanging out. The spa overlooks both pools and Lake Lewisville while being close to the master door. Fire bowls frame the spectacular evening view. The lower pool provides diving and the hidden slide exit (not seen from the upper porch). The diving well acts as a key way for the hillside. Flagstone decks and cut stone veneer provide the rustic tailored finish. Landscape softens the setting and the grasses will hide the fence in no time. Photo & video by Laura Farley.
