A combination home theater and cigar smoking room. This room features a walk-up bar with a kegerator and beverage cooler, built-in cigar humidor, integral exhaust fan, and a secret storage area in addition to the home theater.

Location: Tampa, FL, USA Hive This client wanted a system that was easy for anyone in the family to use with ease. We solved this by used the "main brain" of Control 4 to put all of their technology on one platform that could be accessed from any smart device or remote in the house. We achieved a sleek look by creating a custom milled cabinet for the TV. The client wanted to have a stationary home control center by their entry door to have easy access to all the technology in the house.This touchpad controls all the technology in the house including all the Tv's in the home and all the video sources; such as roku, apple TV, blue ray, cable boxes, lightning controls, temperature controls, home security, sound, blinds and any other technology you wish to have in your home. This was a simple solution for the entire family to be able to use. Security was really important for these homeowners so we placed a keyless/remote entry on their door for wireless access and then placed a camera inside the door. This allowed the home owners to open the door when packages arrived and let the person in see that they put the package inside and relock the door on exit.

Custom light oak cabinetry for this living room area was designed to coordinate with cabinetry in the adjacent kitchen. WKD was asked to design a new kitchen, and new millwork in the adjacent family room, creating more of a kitchen lounge. They were also asked to find space for a much needed walk-in pantry, reconfigure a home office and create a mudroom. By moving walls and reorienting doors, spaces were reconfigured to provide more storage and a more welcoming atmosphere. A feature of this kitchen remodel was the unusual combination of a glass counter top for dining, which meets the granite of the island. The custom painted floor creates a happy balance with all the wood tones in the room. Photos by Michael Lee

AFTER. The Mrs. bought a big screen t.v. for for her husband for Xmas. Having no where to put the t.v., he built a make shift table and put a blanket on it. Problem solved, right? Not so much. They contacted Stan and Andrea Mussman with Mussman Design to design and install new family room cabinetry, fireplace, paint, crown, drapery, paint and accessories. Whereas before the family had no space for the children's toys, now there is ample space to tuck the toys away.
