This project is part tear-down, part remodel. The original L-shaped plan allowed the living/ dining/ kitchen wing to be completely re-built while retaining the shell of the bedroom wing virtually intact. The rebuilt entertainment wing was enlarged 50% and covered with a low-slope reverse-shed roof sloping from eleven to thirteen feet. LEICHT SEATTLEThe TORRES residence is a cool ultra-modern custom residence in Madrona neighborhood in Seattle, WA. It’s a 2400SF of high-quality home for a creative young family. The owner has been a creative director for companies like Microsoft and Nike. The house design is minimalist and graphic, black white and walnut are the dominant colors, and variety of textures is used along with steel and glass.
