This colonial home in Penn Valley, PA, needed a complete interior renovation. Working closely with the owners, we renovated all three floors plus the basement. Now the house is bright and light, featuring open layouts, loads of natural light, and a clean design maximizing family living areas. Highlights include:
- creating a guest suite in the third floor/attic
- installing custom millwork and moulding in the curved staircase and foyer
- creating a stunning, contemporary kitchen, with marble counter tops, white subway tile back splash, and an eating nook.

The Kitchen features both Amerock “Esquire” pulls and T-knob hardware. A Docking Drawer drawer outlet was added for charging of all the essential electronics for the homeowner’s tech-savvy adult daughter. The LVT flooring adds functionality and durability to this much-used space.

Our MOSS customers loved their Alexandria location, but, after years of living in the 405 square foot home, knew they wanted to add a significant amount of space to stay comfortable for the long term. MOSS worked with our customer to construct a “pop top” (essentially, an entire second floor with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) and push out the main floor of the home to give the homeowners a much larger 1183 square feet of living space (including a new kitchen and screened porch). Knowing that our customers wanted plenty of sunlight and also convenient spaces for their pets, MOSS worked with them to design the home to allow for large windows and features such as a a built in dog bowl faucet and doggy doors.

Simply Chic. Clean, minimalistic lines and a neutral color palette are essential to a successful contemporary design. The floors in this high-rise home meet the criteria. The square edges of the six-inch white oak planks create a uniform, seamless plane. A water-based polyurethane means the floors are as durable as they are attractive.

Several years ago, we updated the exterior of this home by adding the stonework, the full color flagstone patio, retaining walls, and built-in grill. The latest addition to this great outdoor space is the pergola. The shade structure’s roof slats were built at an angle to provide shade while still allowing light though.
This light and airy home in Chadds Ford, PA, was a custom home renovation for long-time clients that included the installation of red oak hardwood floors, the master bedroom, master bathroom, two powder rooms, living room, dining room, study, foyer and staircase. remodel included the removal of an existing deck, replacing it with a beautiful flagstone patio. Each of these spaces feature custom, architectural millwork and custom built-in cabinetry or shelving. A special showcase piece is the continuous, millwork throughout the 3-story staircase. Our objective on this kitchen was to make the kitchen more group friendly, as the existing peninsula essentially “trapped” guests and restricted flow in the kitchen.
The Solution:
The troublesome peninsula was removed to create room for a new island. A small pedestal table at the end of the island provides comfortable seating for three. Drawers offer additional storage and stained-glass pendant lights replace the outdated fluorescents. The new location of the island results in a U-shaped kitchen with much better flow. Small mosaics incorporated into the tumbled marble backsplash behind the stove mirror the look of stained glass.

The kitchen is where you spend most of your time, shouldn’t it be the most inviting room in the house? That was the logic behind this South Shore of Boston Renovision. The owners entertained frequently but struggled with lack of organized storage space and poor flow for traffic in and out of their kitchen.
Renovisions totally reorganized the way the kitchen worked. The wall between the family room and kitchen was re-built to accommodate bar stools and added countertop space. Considerations were given to the design layout for a separate beverage/wine refrigeration station, while making sure additional prep space was adequate. A better flow in the kitchen was created, eliminating the annoyance of the typical ‘bottle-neck’.
Fine shaker cabinetry in a white painted finish with contrasting dark blue-grey island cabinets which boast large, deep drawers set the stage. A full gamut of appliances was provided including a 36” induction cooktop, convection microwave, double wall ovens, full size refrigerator and a bar refrigerator. The matching paneled dishwasher ensured an integrated look. The custom wood hood along with the unique shaped arabesque glass tile design frames a stunning focal point when entering this kitchen. Glass mullion doors flanking the hood with clear seeded glass created an upscale look and coordinated with the seeded glass shades of the island pendants.
Renovisions custom fit red oak wood flooring to match the existing floor and then re-finished with a grey stain and 3 coats of poly to add durability while also providing a beautiful new look throughout the house.
Good lighting is key especially when spending so much time in a space. LED under-cabinet lights, recessed ceiling lights and three separate pendant fixtures which all operate on dimmer switches created options for mood lighting, work lighting and everything in between. New double-hung windows with 6/1 grid configurations were added in just the right places – adding more essential natural light.
In addition to the kitchen ‘Renovision’, two corner cabinets in a white painted finish were installed in the dining room to not only accommodate the clients fine china and glassware, but also to provide a more custom built-in look to the space with the interior of the cabinets matching the wall.
Overall, our client could not have been happier with the completed project. Family, friends and guests were impressed with the design and fit and finish of every detail provided by Renovisions.

The pictures showed are of an Encaustic Cement tiled floor that had been installed in the bathroom of a property in Twickenham. At the time the tiles were installed, they did not seal them and had since accumulated dirt, especially in the grout lines.
Encaustic cement tiles have become extremely popular in the last few years with many beautiful artistic often geometric patterns available to choose from. The very nature of the cement-based tile however does make it slightly porous, and if left unsealed dirt will become ingrained in the tile making it difficult to remove and keep clean. Like grout they do therefore need to be sealed in order to keep them looking at their best for longer.
Now we normally recommend using diamond encrusted burnishing pads when renovating Encaustic Cement tiles however in this case the face of the tiles were not too bad and it was really the grout that needed the most attention. So, to cut the cost for customer, I advised a straightforward alkaline scrub clean and seal.
To clean the tile and grout I sprayed the floor with a strong dilution of Tile Doctor Pro-Clean and left it to soak into the dirt for ten minutes. Space in the bathroom was quite tight so instead of using a mechanical floor scrubber I scrubbed the tile and grout by hand working the alkaline cleaning solution into the pores to release the grout in dirt.
After scrubbing the floor was rinsed with a little water and the soil removed with a wet vacuum. Afterwards the floor was inspected, and any stubborn areas retreated with repeat of the process. After a final rinse, the floor was dried as much as possible with the wet vacuum.
Fortunately, the weather has been amazing of late and so it did not take long for the floor to dry, being a small space and a little encouragement from a heat gun always helps. Removing excess moisture before sealing is essential as even a small amount can cloud the sealer resulting in an uneven appearance.
Once satisfied that the floor was dry, I proceeded to seal it by applying a couple two coats of Tile Doctor Colour Grow across the Encaustic tile and grout. As an impregnating sealer Colour Grow penetrates the pores of the cement occupying the space and thus prevent any dirt from becoming ingrained there. Colour Grow’s colour intensifying properties also helped to deepen the black colour of the tile enhancing the contrast between the tiles and grout.
Now the floor has been properly sealed it will be far easier for the customer to keep them clean in future. For maximum longevity of the sealer I recommend maintenance cleaning with Tile Doctor Neutral Cleaner. Don’t be tempted to use supermarket cleaning products without reading the label first, many are simply too strong for cleaning sealed surfaces and will strip off the sealer prematurely leaving the tiles unprotected.

This farmhouse style home was already lovely and inviting. We just added some finishing touches in the kitchen and expanded and enhanced the basement. In the kitchen we enlarged the center island so that it is now five-feet-wide. We rebuilt the sides, added the cross-back, “x”, design to each end and installed new fixtures. We also installed new counters and painted all the cabinetry. Already the center of the home’s everyday living and entertaining, there’s now even more space for gathering. We expanded the already finished basement to include a main room with kitchenet, a multi-purpose/guestroom with a murphy bed, full bathroom, and a home theatre. The COREtec vinyl flooring is waterproof and strong enough to take the beating of everyday use. In the main room, the ship lap walls and farmhouse lantern lighting coordinates beautifully with the vintage farmhouse tuxedo bathroom. Who needs to go out to the movies with a home theatre like this one? With tiered seating for six, featuring reclining chair on platforms, tray ceiling lighting and theatre sconces, this is the perfect spot for family movie night!

A family of three designed the ideal home to age in place and care for their adult son.
Designing a Unique Space
For years, the Bronks had a clear idea of what their master suite should look like. Their unique design even began appearing on HGTV shows, much to their amusement. The layout was essential to accommodating their schedules without disturbing each other's sleep.
The house is ingeniously split into two units. The main living area features three bedrooms—one serves as Dale's home office, another as his wife's art studio, and the third is their master suite. Connected by a wall, there's a separate 700-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment with its own laundry, kitchen, and living room.
This separate apartment is home to their unique needs adult son. "Having a place where he's connected to the family but has his own autonomous space was crucial," Dale explained. The design includes a discreet connecting door for emergencies, promoting his independence while ensuring safety.

Collaboration with Reynard Custom Homes
With their master suite and apartment designs in place, the Bronks faced challenges with the rest of the layout. That's when Dale turned to Reynard Custom Homes. "I found Reynard through LinkedIn. We'd been in touch from a previous project, so I reached out. They were instrumental in bridging the gap between our ideas," Dale shared.
James from Reynard Custom Homes worked closely with the Bronks to refine their plans. "We had the apartment on one side and the master suite on the other. James helped us create a cohesive design that brought everything together beautifully."

A Dream Realized
After two years of meticulous planning and construction, the Bronk family's dream home was finally completed in 2024. Dale expressed his gratitude, saying, "Working with Reynard Custom Homes was a fantastic experience. They helped turn our vision into reality."
As Dale and his family settled into their new home, they looked forward to many happy years ahead, enjoying the thoughtful design and personalized touches that made their house truly theirs.
The Bronk family's journey with Reynard Custom Homes is a testament to the power of collaboration, vision, and meticulous planning. Their new home in Cumming, GA, stands as a perfect example of how dreams can indeed become reality with the right team and a clear vision.

A garage is a key part of many homes. Providing storage space for cars, gardening supplies, tools, sports equipment, bikes and more, the right garage can be an essential part of a home. With an attached garage, it's much easier to get pets, kids, and groceries inside, providing seamless access to interior living space. We started this 24×24 attached two car garage with mudroom from scratch.

We renovated the exterior and installed the hardscaping of the traditional colonial home in Villanova, PA. The flagstone patio has a beautiful hand-crafted pergola made from reclaimed long leaf pine. The outdoor fireplace was constructed out of mica and granite and has two storage areas for wood. The stone retaining wall includes interior lighting. A short walk down an adjoining staircase brings you to a courtyard immediately outside of the basement. The courtyard features the same flagstone, stone retaining wall and interior lighting. Regarding the house itself, we rebuilt the chimney (and the accompanying fireplace inside), added Harding plank cement siding, and built the retaining wall along the driveway.

We met the owners of this 6-story townhouse in Philadelphia when we renovated their neighbor's home. Originally, this townhouse contained a multi-level apartment and a separate studio apartment. The owners wanted to combine both units into one modern home with sleek, yet warm elements. We really enjoyed creating a beautiful triangular, glass paneled staircase; a living garden wall that stretches up through 4 stories of the house; and an eye-catching glass fireplace with a mantle made out of reclaimed wood. Anchoring the entire house design are distressed white oak floors.

What a treat it was to work on this 190-year-old colonial home! Since the home is on the Historical Register, we worked with the owners on its preservation by adding historically accurate features and details. The stucco is accented with “Colonial Blue” paint on the trim and doors. The copper roofs on the portico and side entrance and the copper flashing around each chimney add a pop of shine. We also rebuilt the house’s deck, laid the slate patio, and installed the white picket fence.

This chic, modern farmhouse kitchen has reclaimed wood beams and shelves. The huge island is topped with honed black granite, features seating for six, a microwave drawer, a bookshelf for cookbooks, and lots of storage. The white cabinets and white Carrara marble counters provide a sharp contrast to the island's black counter. The stainless steel appliances and sink and the chrome fixtures give the room a polished look.

The completed project is shown in the picture and truly was a project that will stick with us as a company. Once the Crawford family presented their idea to us, we couldn't wait to get it completed and really loved the finished look. It is important to properly prep and prime any exterior surface. It is important to stain the deck after power washing, sanding, and killing and mold.

This Master Suite Addition project was initiated by our Clients’ desire to stay in their family home well into their golden years. Their wish list included a master suite and large open space for entertaining. With “Aging in Place” a main objective, our goal was to move all essential tasks to the first floor. Our design created a smooth transition between old house and new by expanding their dining room and adding a vestibule between the two spaces. This resulted in a much larger dining space and the larger entertaining area they were seeking. The master bedroom’s floor to ceiling windows on two of the walls frames picturesque views of their beloved garden outside. Vaulted ceilings, French doors to the bathroom with a transom window above express class and grandeur. Through the French doors the elegant master bathroom shines with reflections from the decorative crystal chandelier, white and grey tile, polished chrome fixtures and lighted glass bowls. A double headed shower, with dual temperature controls, and the air-jetted tub provide a true sanctuary for a relaxed bathing experience. “His and Her” elements are also fulfilled with dual vanities, and dual toilet areas. Upon completion, the homeowners passionately stated that this project turned out even better than they could have imagined. They truly love their new space in their long loved home and look forward to many more years in their new haven.

Off the back of the house is a very private deck made of Azek. It has a redwood cedar open trellis over the hot tub. The stone walkway was constructed out of reclaimed Belgian block and was laid in circular pattern.
In this classic English Tudor home located in Penn Valley, PA, we renovated the kitchen, mudroom, deck, patio, and the exterior walkways and driveway. The European kitchen features high end finishes and appliances, and heated floors for year-round comfort! The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting. The open trellis over the hot tub provides just the right amount of shelter. These clients were referred to us by their architect, and we had a great time working with them to mix classic European styles in with contemporary, current spaces.
