Striking a balance between woodland path and polished, public urban space was a real challenge. The finished product is a very welcoming and inviting space that leaves passers by wanting to see what's going on past the plantings while giving the homeowners some privacy and screening from people on the street and sidewalk.

To create some height in the otherwise flat garden, native Redbud trees were planted at the center of each square, and small step-stones were laid for easier access to care for the plantings within the boxwood-hedged flower beds. The pattern of the step-stones helped to reinforce the idea of quilted patches stitched into old-fashioned quilts.

The ancient Basalt pavers have been reclaimed from different locations across the Mediterranean making them unique and stunning in their charcoal black textures.
This volcanic rock comes in random sizes and could be installed in either a running bond formation or a random one.
Their durable nature makes them an excellent choice for driveways because they can withstand tremendous pressure and weight (such as that of vehicles) and oil leaks will not affect the aesthetics of this stole because of its charcoal color.

This one of a kind and authentic bathroom features eye catching details such as the pebble tile that dances across the shower wall. The linear brown tile almost looks like wood planks giving a rustic feel to the bathroom. There is a bench for the shower and a generous bathtub surround.
