The client provided us with the design for a Healing Garden for the program’s residents, giving them a dedicated outdoor space to enjoy quiet contemplation, prayer, and group gatherings. Located on a busy and cramped corner in Adams Morgan, D. A. Dunlevy had to work around tight spaces and street traffic. We encountered numerous challenges that were mitigated through careful planning and design. The finished design is a mixture of custom carpentry, advanced concrete work, curved benches, custom metalwork, unique lighting, and a boulder altar as a centerpiece. The space provides room for walking, sitting, and contemplation amongst the peaceful surroundings. We were honored to be a part of this very unique and special project.

Brilliant NightsPool Area Lighting - this home in Lithia, FL has an amazing pool deck, but there were no plans for lighting and showcasing the architectural aspects of the space. Brilliant Nights designed and installed numerous fixtures into the hardscape surfaces to illuminate the bannisters, piers, columns and steps. We were not the original lighting company on this project (the other company lit the front of the home only). The first company said it was impossible to add lighting in the hardscape areas of the pool deck because it wasn't pre-wired. You can see from the pictures that it wasn't impossible or Brilliant Nights. We're proud of this project and have done many like it. A dark pool area comes to life with lighting to create a space that can be used well after dark.

Upon demolition of the existing home, this custom home was built to showcase what exactly Lane Myers Construction could deliver on when we are given numerous constraints. Morpurgo ArchitectsThe owners of this historic house on a promontory surrounded by water asked Morpurgo Architects to maximize ocean views while expanding their home for their growing family.
Conforming to The Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission’s requirements, our modifications to the existing structure are sympathetic to the original Stuccoed Mission-style and contextually in keeping with neighboring historic homes.
This challenging site presented numerous constraints, including adherence to oceanfront setbacks and environmental and zoning regulations. We overcame imposing restrictions to develop a dynamic plan that fulfilled the clients’ programmatic and aesthetic needs.
The kitchen was identified by our clients as the focal point of family activity. We maximized this lifestyle concept by developing the kitchen into a spacious living area with commanding views of the water. Renovations to the third floor allowed Morpurgo Architects to create an outdoor space offering a panorama of the historic surrounding communities.

Fisher Heck ArchitectsOriginally designed by Victoria architect, James Hull in 1892, this two-story Shingle-Style house had long been abandoned and neglected, until the current owner purchased the home in 2007. The house is an important resource in the history of Cuero, Texas. It is a distinctive, late Victorian residence that complements the various architectural styles found in the Terrell-Reuss National Register District in Cuero, Texas. The style of the house is based upon a Queen Anne floor plan, but has strong Shingle style elements and several Colonial Revival details that make it unique to Cuero and South Texas. The design for the house skillfully merged the complex geometries and numerous diverse materials into a consummate Victorian composition. Fisher Heck was commissioned to restore the house in 2009. Almost everything inside and outside the house, down to the studs, had to be rebuilt or refinished. All work was done in conjunction with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Historic Restoration.
