The client wanted to make the room brighter, give it a modern and younger touch, more cozy and pleasing. However she did not want to demolish anything and to keep her existing furnitures. So to obtain her objective I changed the wall and ceiling colors; changed her curtain and its tracks and re-upholstered all her furnitures. Et Voila !!! Photo credit: Coy Gutierrez

In this small but quaint project, the owners wanted to build a new front entry vestibule to their existing 1920's home. Keeping in mind the period detailing, the owners requested a hand rendering of the proposed addition to help them visualize their new entry space. Due to existing lot constraints, the project required approval by the local Zoning Board of Appeals, which we assisted the homeowner in obtaining. The new addition, when completed, added the finishing touch to the homeowner's meticulous restoration efforts.

Buy organic Indian spices Hyderabad to access carefully selected ingredients suitable for home cooking, restaurants, food businesses, and specialty culinary applications. Organic spice sourcing can provide options such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, black pepper, cardamom, and other traditional ingredients. Buyers should consider authenticity, ingredient quality, processing methods, packaging, freshness, and applicable organic standards when choosing products. Reliable sourcing helps customers obtain spices with consistent aroma, flavor, and usability. Careful product selection can support healthier ingredient choices while preserving the distinctive taste and culinary character associated with traditional Indian cuisine.

London Brick - Charcoal
This collection showcases a new element, inspired by the production of hand-made bricks fired in a furnace in London. Back in the early 20th century, the surfaces were shaded, with a variety of colors. The appeal of traditional craftsmanship techniques, with the imperfections in the glazes - as a result of unstable temperatures - reflected in a porcelain stoneware with a genuine character, obtained using leading-edge ceramic technologies. London is a tile ready to enliven the floors and walls of the home with an original urban, metropolitan allure.

Sorghastrums (indian grass) & rudbeckia (black eyed susan); both chosen for their shade tolerance, root tenacity (for anchoring the soil that was added), and seasonal color. blue steel indian grass has blue-purple fall color, lilacs explode with fragrance during the spring, black eyed susan bring summer color, and indian grass and boxwoods bring winter interest. Together this planting obtains seasonal interest and creates ideal habitat for pollinators all while functioning to hold the added soil in place.

An additional sense of grandeur is obtained with a zero threshold shower rather than a traditional shower dam and the use of an invisible shower drain cover.

The Council Crest Residence is a renovation and addition to an early 1950s house built for inventor Karl Kurz, whose work included stereoscopic cameras and projectors. Designed by prominent local architect Roscoe Hemenway, the house was built with a traditional ranch exterior and a mid-century modern interior. It became known as “The View-Master House,” alluding to both the inventions of its owner and the dramatic view through the glass entry.
Approached from a small neighborhood park, the home was re-clad maintaining its welcoming scale, with privacy obtained through thoughtful placement of translucent glass, clerestory windows, and a stone screen wall. The original entry was maintained as a glass aperture, a threshold between the quiet residential neighborhood and the dramatic view over the city of Portland and landscape beyond. At the south terrace, an outdoor fireplace is integrated into the stone wall providing a comfortable space for the family and their guests.
Within the existing footprint, the main floor living spaces were completely remodeled. Raised ceilings and new windows create open, light filled spaces. An upper floor was added within the original profile creating a master suite, study, and south facing deck. Space flows freely around a central core while continuous clerestory windows reinforce the sense of openness and expansion as the roof and wall planes extend to the exterior.
