This beautiful home for a family of four got a refreshing new design, making it a true reflection of the homeowners' personalities. The living room was designed to look bright and spacious with a stunning custom white oak coffee table, stylish swivel chairs, and a comfortable pale peach sofa. An antique bejeweled snake light creates an attractive focal point encouraging fun conversations in the living room. In the kitchen, we upgraded the countertops and added a beautiful backsplash, and the dining area was painted a soothing sage green adding color and character to the space. One of the kids' bedrooms got a unique platform bed with a study and storage area below it. The second bedroom was designed with a custom day bed with stylish tassels and a beautiful bulletin board wall with a custom neon light for the young occupant to decorate at will. The guest room, with its earthy tones and textures, has a lovely "California casual" appeal, while the primary bedroom was designed like a haven for relaxation with black-out curtains, a statement chain link chandelier, and a beautiful custom bed. In the primary bath, we added a huge mirror, custom white oak cabinetry, and brass fixtures, creating a luxurious retreat!

THEME Created for a baby girl, this
room is magical, feminine and very
pink. At its heart is the Carriage Crib,
surrounded by a large oak tree with
delightful animals, baby blocks, a cozy
window seat and an upholstered play
area on the floor.
FOCUS The eye-catching size and
detail of the Carriage Crib, with
a dainty canopy held in place by
woodland creatures immediately
catches a visitor’s attention, and is
enhanced by the piece’s fascinating
colors and textures. Wall murals,
fabrics, accent furniture and lighting
accent the beauty of the crib. A
handsome Dutch door with a minientrance
just for her ensures that this
princess feels at home as soon as she
steps in the room.
STORAGE The room has closet
organizers for everyday items, and
cubicle storage is beautifully hidden
behind the wall letter blocks.
GROWTH As the room’s occupant
grows from baby to toddler to
child and ‘tween, the room is easily
transformed with age-appropriate
toys, pictures, bedding and fabrics.
The crib portion of the carriage can
be removed and fitted with a larger
mattress, saving both time and money
in the future. Letter blocks are easily
updated by simply removing the letters
and replacing them with mirrors, colors
or other images.
SAFETY Standard precautions are
taken to secure power outlets and keep
exposed shelving out of reach. Thickly
padded upholstered squares featuring
colors and patterns that coordinate
with the fabrics on the window seat
and valance create a visually inviting,
comfortable and safe place to play.

The kitchen cabinets project embraces a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, with a focus on creating a serene atmosphere. Rounded cabinets crafted from light pigmented oak form the backbone of the kitchen's design, infusing the space with a warm and inviting ambiance. The choice of light pigmented oak not only adds a touch of natural elegance but also complements the abundance of natural light that floods into the house, further enhancing the feeling of serenity.
A soft color scheme is carefully curated to seamlessly blend with the light oak cabinets, creating a cohesive and soothing visual palette throughout the kitchen. Soft hues such as pale blues, gentle greens, or muted creams are incorporated into the walls, backsplash, and accents, adding depth and tranquility to the space.
Central to the kitchen design is the island, intelligently sectioned into two levels. This feature not only maximizes functionality but also serves as a focal point for social gatherings and moments with loved ones. The lower level of the island provides ample space for food preparation and cooking activities, while the elevated section offers a comfortable dining area or a cozy spot for gathering, fostering a sense of togetherness and connection.
Whether it's a casual family breakfast, a lively dinner party, or simply a quiet moment shared with loved ones, the versatile design of the kitchen island ensures that it remains the heart of the home, adaptable to any occasion. With its rounded cabinets, light pigmented oak finish, and thoughtfully designed layout, this kitchen exudes a timeless charm and a tranquil atmosphere, inviting occupants to unwind and savor life's simple pleasures.

White oak flooring extends into the kitchen, connecting living, entry, and dining room into a seamless whole. Featuring the beautifully functional BLANCO PRECIS™ multi-level SILGRANIT sink, a Brizo faucet, and an integrated panel Bosch dishwasher, the cleanup area provides occupants with beautiful views of the neighborhood and tree canopy. Looking into the dining and living area, a cooking island, highlighted by a Faber vent hood and a Thermador cooktop, integrates the Richlite paper-composite bar and invites guests to interact socially with the host during food prep and cleanup. The island also provides for multiple traffic flow pathways while giving the cook(s) plenty of space to maneuver. Easy access from the kitchen to the living/dining room as well as to the back bedrooms, highlighted at the end of the hall by an art niche, not only brings the kitchen occupant into the conversation but makes them the center of attention!

Full gut renovation and facade restoration of an historic 1850s wood-frame townhouse. The current owners found the building as a decaying, vacant SRO (single room occupancy) dwelling with approximately 9 rooming units. The building has been converted to a two-family house with an owner’s triplex over a garden-level rental.
Due to the fact that the very little of the existing structure was serviceable and the change of occupancy necessitated major layout changes, nC2 was able to propose an especially creative and unconventional design for the triplex. This design centers around a continuous 2-run stair which connects the main living space on the parlor level to a family room on the second floor and, finally, to a studio space on the third, thus linking all of the public and semi-public spaces with a single architectural element. This scheme is further enhanced through the use of a wood-slat screen wall which functions as a guardrail for the stair as well as a light-filtering element tying all of the floors together, as well its culmination in a 5’ x 25’ skylight.

Freestanding bathtub - contemporary black tile multicolored floor, single-sink and tray ceiling freestanding bathtub idea in New York with flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, white walls, an integrated sink, white countertops and a floating vanity

The new kitchen island is roomy enough for 3 and sports a Dacor downdraft range hood. The gorgeous refinished wood floors are actually structural - part of the unique arhitecture of this post and beam house. The beams are reclaimed and have an amazing patina.
