We included this custom sectional with performance velvet fabric, as well as a new table and leather chairs for family game night. The XL metal prints near the new regulation pool table creates an irresistible ambiance, also to the neighboring reclaimed wood dart board area. The bathroom design include new marble tile flooring and a premium frameless shower glass. The luxury chevron wallpaper gives this space a kiss of sophistication. Finalizing this lounge we included a gym with rubber flooring, fitness rack, row machine as well as custom mural which infuses visual fuel to the owner’s workout. The Everlast speedbag is positioned in the perfect place for those late night or early morning cardio workouts. Lastly, we included Polk Audio architectural ceiling speakers meshed with an SVS micros 3000, 800-Watt subwoofer.

We contracted with Chester County Kitchen and Bath (CCKAB) to completely renovate our master bathroom first, followed by a complete kitchen renovation and the building of a family room addition off the kitchen. John Noland, the VP at CCKAB for such project development, was simply fantastic. He spent many hours with us, discussing our ideas of what we wanted the house to look like, and then he produced outstanding overall technical designs for each project before we ever signed the contract. John used his design software to develop dramatic and really useful drawings and graphic depictions of each aspect of the different projects; these drawings enabled us to refine the different projects over several weeks. John's initial cost estimates were spot-on, as was his proposed project timeline. When we added major changes to the original designs, John worked with us and the general (sub)contractor to incorporate the changes to the overall project without bursting the budget or blowing the timeline. John's able deputy, Stacy Nass, was simply amazing as the Project Manager. She juggled the scheduling of subcontractors, suppliers, cabinetry, appliance installation, etc. with aplomb and professionalism, and it was principally due to her careful attention to detail that the projects ran so smoothly and finished on time. The technical expertise of John, Stacy, and the rest of the staff at CCKAB are matched by their warm interpersonal skills. Having heard all the horror stories from friends about contractors they've used for home projects, we consider ourselves fortunate to have hired the folks from Chester County Kitchen and Bath. In the end, we were so very impressed with the final results - John and Stacy and their many collaborators really did help us create our dream home.

A Client With a True Rockstar Life The homeowner’s request was simple in spirit but extraordinary in scale: create a pool environment that matched a life centered on creativity and performance. His background includes jousting at the Michigan Renaissance Festival, on-stage theatrical work, a home rebuilt around music and entertainment, and longstanding connections within the rock world. With a 16-acre horse farm and a passion for bold design, he needed a pool that reflected his personality. His project requirements included a grotto, waterfall, hot tub, swim-up bar, performance area, and multiple lounging zones. Every feature had to feel original, dramatic, and purposeful. The Design Vision Designer and builder Al Curtis immediately recognized that this build needed to be expansive, theatrical, and seamlessly integrated into the landscape. The pool needed to make a statement without obstructing panoramic views of the surrounding farm and open sky. The spark for the design came from an unexpected source: steel grates salvaged from an old carnival tilt-a-whirl ride. This inspired the concept of a floating performance stage built over the pool. What began as a small idea quickly grew into a large-scale platform complete with a concrete stage, integrated lighting, waterfalls, backstage areas, and custom metalwork. My clients had always been inspired by the grand Tudor Revival homes of the early 20th century and commissioned Hull Historical to recreate the authentic custom millwork, paneling and doors for their new Tudor Revival home. Our inspiration came from 2 great English homes, Stan Hywett, a great Tudor Revival home in Ohio, built for the founder of Goodyear Tires. Also, the Woodbine Mansion, built in 1911 for the son of the Pabst Brewing Company. We were fortunate to purchase three rooms of architectural millwork from the woodbine home, which was originally fabricated by the Huber Company of New York. Upon completion of this project, the architectural salvage comprised 15% of the final quantity of paneling installed. The remainder was custom fabricated by Hull Historical at our shop in Fort Worth, TX and installed at the clients home. The commission, based on historic precedent, constituted antique paneling on the main floor, beamed ceilings and all the doors in the home. The new paneling, including the kitchen cabinetry is made from a combination of new quarter-sawn white oak and antique white oak salvaged from old barns and buildings. All the oak was fumed in an ammonia-filled chamber to produce a cocoa color and deep feel giving the millwork rough character and a timeless look that my client loved. The millwork also served to give the home a hierarchy, with simple paneling combined with board and batten doors downstairs, then more ornate paneling, with carvings on the main floor. Additionally, the main floor features mostly 8 and 10 panel doors. All woodwork was hand-pegged with oak pegs. Some of the paneling features a unique Mason’s Miter, a historic joinery technique inspired from stone work. This new home sits on a bucolic mountaintop site and will actually produce more energy than it uses. This living building incorporates a butterfly roof which will collect both solar power and water that will be treated and used in the home and it's pool. It will reuse granite from the original on-site structure, reclaimed and salvaged timbers and non-red list materials as a model for the realization of the burgeoning field of de-construction and reuse in architectural design.

CLIENT GOALS True to San Francisco’s history of incubating trailblazers and entrepreneurs, this 1900 Pacific Heights home served as headquarters to some of the country’s most notable figures. Like many San Francisco homes, it has evolved to serve many families, including the original spice trading builders to an Academy Award-winning film director/producer/screenwriter and a revered fashion designer. Our client’s primary goal was to re-envision a one-of-a-kind room with a view, within this iconic and historic Victorian home, into a luxury spa. DESIGN SOLUTION Our client turned to Centoni for our deep knowledge of historic properties and our vast understanding of residential design and engineering to convert this spectacular home’s 12-foot diameter 4th-floor turret into a lux steam shower and spa. Structural steel was engineered to create an uninterrupted opening to the turret from the main bathroom. Sophisticated waterproofing, ventilation, and heating solutions were also engineered to ensure the view was not interrupted, no matter how much steam was generated. For design inspiration, we borrowed the opulent experience of ancient Roman bathing complexes to create a truly luxurious environment. Hand-cut mosaic tile from Italy and brilliant white Thassos marble add a refined and formal touch to the space, while dark cabinetry provides a contemporary touch. The hand-hammered steel sink basins replicate ancient singing bowls’ calm and meditative experience. At the same time, dimmable lights allow the rare opportunity to shower by the City’s light. On the shower floor, a compass rose pointing true north with 24-karat French fleur-de-lys tiles symbolizes the importance of following the right path and our client’s desire for meditative balance. This handcrafted Cherry record player stand was designed to bring together timeless craftsmanship, thoughtful organization, and a love for music. Built from solid USA-sourced Cherry hardwood, this custom vinyl record storage cabinet provides dedicated space for a turntable, vinyl record collection, Bluetooth speaker, and other listening essentials—all while serving as a beautiful furniture piece that complements the surrounding room. My clients had always been inspired by the grand Tudor Revival homes of the early 20th century and commissioned Hull Historical to recreate the authentic custom millwork, paneling and doors for their new Tudor Revival home. Our inspiration came from 2 great English homes, Stan Hywett, a great Tudor Revival home in Ohio, built for the founder of Goodyear Tires. Also, the Woodbine Mansion, built in 1911 for the son of the Pabst Brewing Company. We were fortunate to purchase three rooms of architectural millwork from the woodbine home, which was originally fabricated by the Huber Company of New York. Upon completion of this project, the architectural salvage comprised 15% of the final quantity of paneling installed. The remainder was custom fabricated by Hull Historical at our shop in Fort Worth, TX and installed at the clients home. The commission, based on historic precedent, constituted antique paneling on the main floor, beamed ceilings and all the doors in the home. The new paneling, including the kitchen cabinetry is made from a combination of new quarter-sawn white oak and antique white oak salvaged from old barns and buildings. All the oak was fumed in an ammonia-filled chamber to produce a cocoa color and deep feel giving the millwork rough character and a timeless look that my client loved. The millwork also served to give the home a hierarchy, with simple paneling combined with board and batten doors downstairs, then more ornate paneling, with carvings on the main floor. Additionally, the main floor features mostly 8 and 10 panel doors. All woodwork was hand-pegged with oak pegs. Some of the paneling features a unique Mason’s Miter, a historic joinery technique inspired from stone work. This carpet was hand knotted in northern Afghanistan by Turkmen women using handspun Ghazni wool. This lovely design is inspired by an original Mughal carpet from Agra in northern India. The more you examine this enchanting piece, the more you appreciate the beauty and thought that went into creating this work of art. After the weaving is completed, the rug undergoes a rigorous antiquing process. This type of carpet can easily take up to a year to produce, and ultimately culminates into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, luxe carpet.

We removed and reinstalled all base moulding to produce a finished look that would indicate they were built in with the home's original construction. All drawer slides are soft close.
