The room needed some personality along with a sophisticated look, so I picked comfortable dining chairs, that people could sit and converse at for hours during a meal that featured a sexy black leather front, and an exotic zebra wood back. The dining set sat upon a modern cowhide diamond patterned rug. But, in fear that the room would be too masculine, I added a beautiful crystal chandelier and tall silver candlesticks to balance out the space. Designed by Katy Dickson Designs, LLC. Nervous that the traditional wrought iron railing would look too "country" in this home, I chose to use mixed metals throughout the house, including the brass mirror below the bronze light that you see here.
