My client is brilliant , so he did some googling (is that a word?) and came across several sites that had a recipe to do just that. He put a steel wool pad into a jar of vinegar and let it sit for a bit. In another jar, he mixed black tea with water. Brush the tea on first and let it dry. We were asked to help with the design for the ceiling dome on a restoration project. They loved our suggested sketch so we proceeded with creating original patterns, molds, and castings as needed. We provided the installation of all but the stained glass center dome. Made all tools needed.

This photo looks up at the twenty-five foot high ceiling and dome in the grand entry of a Mediterranean style mansion in the greater Los Angeles area. The ceiling surrounding the dome is painted to emulate decorative carved plaster. The dome is 12 ft. diameter; the overall ceiling is 35 ft. long and 22 ft. wide (includes unshown section).

As you enter Le Grand Rêve the interior of the rotunda greets you in spectacular fashion. The railings of the marble stone staircase are black wrought iron with 24k gold accents and wooden handrails. The wall sconces and Rotunda Chandelier are 24k gold and Quartz crystal. The inside of the Rotunda dome is custom hand made inlaid Venetian Plaster Moulding.
