For this commission the client hired us to do the interiors of their new home which was under construction. The style of the house was very traditional however the client wanted the interiors to be transitional, a mixture of contemporary with more classic design. We assisted the client in all of the material, fixture, lighting, cabinetry and built-in selections for the home. The floors throughout the first floor of the home are a creme marble in different patterns to suit the particular room; the dining room has a marble mosaic inlay in the tradition of an oriental rug. The ground and second floors are hardwood flooring with a herringbone pattern in the bedrooms. Each of the seven bedrooms has a custom ensuite bathroom with a unique design. The master bathroom features a white and gray marble custom inlay around the wood paneled tub which rests below a venetian plaster domes and custom glass pendant light. We also selected all of the furnishings, wall coverings, window treatments, and accessories for the home. Custom draperies were fabricated for the sitting room, dining room, guest bedroom, master bedroom, and for the double height great room. The client wanted a neutral color scheme throughout the ground floor; fabrics were selected in creams and beiges in many different patterns and textures. One of the favorite rooms is the sitting room with the sculptural white tete a tete chairs. The master bedroom also maintains a neutral palette of creams and silver including a venetian mirror and a silver leafed folding screen. Additional unique features in the home are the layered capiz shell walls at the rear of the great room open bar, the double height limestone fireplace surround carved in a woven pattern, and the stained glass dome at the top of the vaulted ceilings in the great room.

Aurora Round Edge RGB 3.3 inch trim and housing is a specification grade, adjustable accent fixture for plaster or drywall construction. The flush mounted rigid plaster plate, which is finished into the ceiling, maintains a flat finish and defines the Truly Trimless Pure edge (knife edge) 3.3 inch aperture. Uplighting the RGB (red, blue, green) LEDs within the Aurora dome creates color at the ceiling plane while a halogen white light projects downward resulting in an optical illusion. Combined with the Pure edge aperture and the hidden gear behind the lamp further enhances the illusion and creates a clean internal look. Dome is made of spun aluminum, painted to a diffuse highly reflective white finish. Features hot aiming with Philips screwdriver offering 0 to 45 degree vertical adjustment and 362 degree horizontal rotation without beam clipping. Includes standard 120 volt magnetic transformer, IC and air-tight, suitable for remodel or new construction. Secondary output voltage is 11.8 volts. LED driver/power data supply (PDS) and RGB LED modules are integral, accessible and serviceable through the aperture. Includes RGB high output LEDs totaling 24 watts and may be programmed as desired using a DMX signal. LEDs can be controlled to be static color, cross-faded, or can be set to the beat of the music. Compatible with Edge Lighting CDP or CTP controller, sold separately. Includes 12 volt 35 watt 35 degree beam spread Sylvania Tru-Aim Brilliant lamp. Halogen light source compatible with low voltage magnetic dimmer, sold separately. Includes snoot and soft focus lens, with room for lamp and two additional accessories, sold separately. UL listed for damp locations.

Reposting of the most recent goldleaf ceiling. I got a chance to go back to the jobsite to check on the progression of the job. It was cleaned up, the chandelier was hung, and now the finished product!

Dining room - mediterranean ceramic tile dining room idea in Miami with yellow walls

The entry powder room received custom cabinets with custom furniture finish of opaque conversion varnish with glaze top coats. The floor received the same tile as the kitchen. The great room has a 14' ceiling, three 5-foot by 7-foot wood outswing doors with arched tops, and the tile used was the same as that used in the kitchen.
