Here you can see the beautiful patina that Natural Lime Plasters develop when treated with washes of natural pigment. This is true "fresco" technique because the color is applied when the lime plaster base is still fresh. Unlike a faux finish, which is generally applied with acrylic medium, these walls are completely natural and therefore will continue to age beautifully. Photo: Scott Nelson

Home design - mediterranean stucco white home design idea in Denver

Customer wanted to make their dining room recessed wall an accent wall. I recommended clay plaster first creating a sample board with a Napa Olive tint that they had me trowel on the wall. They are going to live with it while I prepare a sample board showing the added effect of a lime wash that further saturates/darkens the hue of the tinted color and from that decide if they want to proceed with a lime wash.

This was done in a new construction home. Using Tuscany plaster in dark shades of blue provides a sophisticated and rustic appearance to the walls and ceilings of a powder room. Creating unique atmospheric ambiance in the space.

This is as polished as the interior. It looks like cast polished marble, because it's made of marble and limestone. This can be done in any color including jet black. This is an exceptionally rare finish which you won't find on too many projects.
