This column was 50 ft. tall originally, we purchased this column to have it cut down into a dining table base. Original paint has a polyurethane sealer coat to keep paint in place. The base is separate from the top. The top is a honed Calcutta gold marble top with beautiful grey and gold veins. Measures: Marble top 60" W x 60" D x 30.25" H Base only 35.25" W x 35.25" D x 28.5" H.

Inspiration for a mediterranean home design remodel in San Diego

This home belonged to a West Michigan family who had relocated from Chicago. We had worked with this family before, completing a master bathroom remodel, a kitchen remodel, and a sunroom addition. Since then, their family had grown, and they needed more room to live, work, and host. They desired a lower level that had real living space, a dedicated office to support working from home, and a wine cellar for entertaining. On the main floor, the sunroom needed new windows and sliding glass doors, and the second floor lacked a suite for the out-of-town guests who often visited. Our team expanded the lower level to extend the living area beneath the existing deck, a phase that required excavation, foundation work, and framing to be completed entirely beneath the structure above. Inside, we converted a bedroom into a kitchenette, remodeled the lower bathroom, and then turned our attention to the wine cellar. An arched doorway leads into the space, where custom wine storage and sconce lighting were built. On the second floor, part of the laundry room and storage area was converted into a private guest bathroom. The finished home now gives this growing family the living space, functionality, and room to host that they'd outgrown.

This quaint living room space is especially cozy. For this design we incorporated a variety of natural products to achieve a soft, subtle, and most importantly comfortable space. As you kick back and relax on the oversized plush sofa it will be hard to take your attention from the custom media center. We designed this media center using grey plywood veneer which gives it depth as well as a finished natural wood look. We hung two wall sconces one on each side of the media center to provide just the right amount of light to perfect the natural nook ambiance we were trying to achieve here. Each wall sconce is made of capiz shells more commonly known as windowpane oysters. This room has amazing natural design details down to the tops of the tables. Each of the end tables has a starburst effect in the black forest grove wood tops which are accented by a chrome finish on the iron table legs. The centerpiece that completes this nook is the stunning reclaimed wood coffee table that has personality with its natural cracks and crevices intact. pierreji.com
