Opening up the shower gave us room for a tile pattern with something to say: a glossy navy laid in stacked verticals, broken by a running band that carries the eye around the corner and up into the ceiling. Aged brass warms it, and the recessed niche keeps the walls uninterrupted. It's the one room in the house that chose color over restraint, and it earned it.

A freestanding tub positioned beneath a privacy-glazed window creates a quiet focal point within this soft contemporary primary bath. Large-format 24" x 48" porcelain tile with minimal shade variation and tight grout joints establishes a calm, seamless backdrop that allows the architecture and proportions of the room to take center stage. At the tub wall, a dramatic installation of Geo Prism white marble introduces texture, movement, and contrast, transforming an otherwise restrained palette into a memorable design statement. Custom-designed factory glass doors—crafted as French, barn, and swing doors—along with curated specialty wallpapers in the butler’s pantry, powder room, and primary bathroom, add distinctive moments of character. Inspiration for a rustic brown one-story wood gable roof remodel in Seattle

Empire Kitchen & Bath designed and built the cabinetry for this residence — the first home outside Japan to earn UL 3036 certification for healthy indoor air. Every cabinet was produced through our custom cabinetry shop. The kitchen features a handleless flat-panel profile, paired with a book-matched backsplash, a custom steel hood, and glass-front display cabinetry for stemware. The primary bath continues the restrained palette with a floating high-gloss vanity and marble top. The project demonstrates that luxury cabinetry and the strictest residential air quality standards are not mutually exclusive.
