We created a separate toilet room and two vanity areas using beautiful cabinetry - designed with interiors that addressed their individual storage needs – makeup, toiletries, and a hamper and shared linen storage. The tall linen closet provides the perfect separation between the lady’s and gentleman’s areas. Two slender wall cabinets resting on marble bases atop the vanities and alongside the linen closet soften the transition from one area to another while providing discrete storage. The gentleman’s area had a little more space allowing for an open shelf area – perfect for display of small objects. Thasos tile was perfect for the client’s desire to have a crisp white look. We used it on the floor and combined it with glass glazed porcelain tile in the shower. Polished green onyx mosaic was used as a border accent on the shower wall, around the vanity mirrors and on the electric heated floor. Together they create a soft and harmonious statement. Electric mirrors with built-in lighting create a pattern of rectangles along the perimeter of the room. This strong rectangular design element flows from the frosted glass of the door to private toilet room opposite the vanities, to the existing window, moving to “his” mirror, “her” mirror, to the clear glass shower panel, and finishes dramatically at the shower wall mural. Green Surf granite was chosen for the countertops. The onyx backsplash, a mosaic composition of beautiful green, white and cream, was the connecting design element bringing the drams of the countertop color vertically to the walls. The floating shower seat and shower jambs in Caesar Stone add a distinctive but soft transition from the main bath area to the shower. This seamless flow passes in to the shower through an open doorway and a clear glass panel. A linear drain gives a clean, architectural look and blocking for the future grab bar installation has been located in the shower wall. Crisp bright painted cabinetry and polished chrome hardware complete this bright, sophisticated and highly functional bathroom.

Aspect 221 is a multi-experiential home designed for a multi-generational family. Set on a sloping corner property in a 1960's Golden Valley neighborhood, this home offers a variety of ways to connect to the immediate landscapes and distant views. The house itself is divided vertically with interaction between families occurring through the centrally located sculptural stair. Horizontal movement in each direction leads to distinct environments provided for the families; multiple habitats offering variety of space, light, and privacy. Expanding towards the west, the property takes advantage of the sweeping views and provides a perfect opportunity for a walk-out lower level and tuck under garage. The young family occupies the middle and upper floors, while the parents occupy the lower level. Each family has their own private entry and dedicated outdoor space. The home has 4 distinct outdoor spaces; a north shade deck and south sun deck, as well as an upper east lawn and lower west lawn. These spaces provide multiple habitats for the families to come together or move apart, offering variety and privacy. We designed Aspect 221 with a nod to the various “aspects” offered by the site and its natural context. The base of the house is a black monolithic plinth anchored into the hillside, containing the garage and older parent’s home. This allows the upper two floors, enclosed in a fractured white and wood box, to remain humanly scaled and to move and gesture freely by twisting the middle floor off axis, and then twisting the upper floor off axis again. Each level offers views in varied directions revealing the site in different ways as you rise in elevation. Originally built in 1990 the Heady Lakehouse began as a 2,800SF family retreat and now encompasses over 5,635SF. It is located on a steep yet welcoming lot overlooking a cove on Lake Hartwell that pulls you in through retaining walls wrapped with White Brick into a courtyard laid with concrete pavers in an Ashlar Pattern. This whole home renovation allowed us the opportunity to completely enhance the exterior of the home with all new LP Smartside painted with Amherst Gray with trim to match the Quaker new bone white windows for a subtle contrast. You enter the home under a vaulted tongue and groove white washed ceiling facing an entry door surrounded by White brick. Once inside you’re encompassed by an abundance of natural light flooding in from across the living area from the 9’ triple door with transom windows above. As you make your way into the living area the ceiling opens up to a coffered ceiling which plays off of the 42” fireplace that is situated perpendicular to the dining area. The open layout provides a view into the kitchen as well as the sunroom with floor to ceiling windows boasting panoramic views of the lake. Looking back you see the elegant touches to the kitchen with Quartzite tops, all brass hardware to match the lighting throughout, and a large 4’x8’ Santorini Blue painted island with turned legs to provide a note of color. The owner’s suite is situated separate to one side of the home allowing a quiet retreat for the homeowners. Details such as the nickel gap accented bed wall, brass wall mounted bed-side lamps, and a large triple window complete the bedroom. This elegant and timeless approach to this 5,000SF three level addition and renovation allowed the owner to add multiple sleeping and entertainment areas while rejuvenating a beautiful lake front lot with subtle contrasting colors.

The Italian Fam House was created to look and feel like a vintage structure found in the middle of the Italian country side. the villa was designed with a private bridge over a seasonal creek and automatic gates were designed at the base of a small slope so the visitor could appreciate the architecture as the gates open. A natural stone walk way leads to the front door which has a latch door handle only ( non locking) with 350 year old oak front door. Privacy trees and landscape we’re designed on the perimeter of the property to allow the client to enjoy the grounds in complete privacy and enhancing the illusion of the farm house. The client wanted to keep the vintage look but have some contemporary features in the garden, a artist studio with pool changing room and shower was designed into the hillside to provide a passive solar efficient structure. The patio was designed with rough cut natural stone and accents of Italian marble. the spa was raised 18″ and utilizes a vanishing edge detail which spills into the vanishing edge pool. Both water details are equipped with LED lighting and are integrated into the home automation. A walking path was designed to a lower lawn area adjacent to the creek , the lawn is designed for family picnics , volleyball games and other summer activities nestled under the oaks and cooler temperature by the creek. Screening and privacy were a important element in this design. Mature Box size shrub and mature tree’s were imported from across northern California and craned into the project.

This Columbia home had one deck which descended directly into their backyard. Rather than tuck their seven person hot tub on the concrete patio below their deck, we constructed a new tier. Their new deck was built with composite decking, making it completely maintenance free. Constructed with three feet concrete piers and post bases attaching each support according to code, this new deck can easily withstand the weight of hundreds of gallons of water and a dozen or more people. Aluminum rails line the stairs and surround the entire deck for aesthetics as well as safety. Taller aluminum supports form a privacy screen with horizontal cedar wood slats. The cedar wall also sports four clothes hooks for robes. The family now has a private place to relax and entertain in their own backyard. Dimensions In Wood is more than 40 years of custom cabinets. Luxury home builders Sound Beach Partners hired Fusion Bowling to create a custom basement bowling alley for their clients in Greenwich, Connecticut. The homeowners wanted the theme of the room to be based on their favorite skiing destination -- Steamboat, Colorado. The project features Pro Lanes with Illustrious Maple color pattern, "winter wonderland" lighting effects, custom sky blue pins, and Brunswick GS-X pinsetter machines. The masking unit, guest bowling balls, pins, and lanes all feature custom logos.
