. This bright modern great room / family room was designed as an open concept. TV watching and dinning work harmoniously for family comfort. Sofa and chairs were re-upholstered in bright colored fabrics. The minimalistic table/storage bench works great while the kids are young to hide their parafanilia. This one can easly be updated for a better version as the kids grow up. Modern elements complement traditional elements and the white walls allow the allow the colors to take center stage.

Santos Rosewood flooring runs through the living room, where a Natuzzi sofa and chairs from R. Jones covered in Pollack fabric surround a Baker cocktail table/ottoman in Spinneybeck leather. Custom sapele pommele wood cabinetry flanks the crosscut travertine fireplace with a cantilevered hearth.

This is one of our favorites. This home set among the evergreen trees in the foothills of Denver, Colorado had too much stucco and not enough natural materials. In this room, we tore out the 1980s fireplace and replaced it with drystack ledgestone. Then we added a reclaimed timber for the mantle and chiseled edge granite hearth. We took the walls to a dark, deep purple hue. Simply Stunning. --Ron Ruscio

Intriguing mix of warm wood beams, oak floor and sophisticated neutral furnishings. White leather low profile bed and thumbprint rug are key pieces.
