The Boëdic Island is part of a myriad of little islands scattered in the Morbihan Golf, in the southern part of French Brittany. This unique yet private location hosts a beautiful residence. In the main livingroom, the wooden wall was designed as a diamond with its facets, reflecting the lights and hiding secret doors. A grand entrance to the luxury Mediterranean house, a wrought iron gate leads to a curved staircase with classical balustrades heading to the main entrance door, the warm Mediterranean style is realized by utilizing the arched windows and openings, along with terracotta roof tiles, off-white stucco and stone base.

Resting upon a 120-acre rural hillside, this 17,500 square-foot residence has unencumbered mountain views to the east, south and west. The exterior design palette for the public side is a more formal Tudor style of architecture, including intricate brick detailing; while the materials for the private side tend toward a more casual mountain-home style of architecture with a natural stone base and hand-cut wood siding. Primary living spaces and the master bedroom suite, are located on the main level, with guest accommodations on the upper floor of the main house and upper floor of the garage. The interior material palette was carefully chosen to match the stunning collection of antique furniture and artifacts, gathered from around the country. The massive granite boulder at the North end of the pool was actually the starting point of the design for the entire project. Ron walked the lot in it's natural state and felt placing the pool at the base of this impressive upside down pyramid granite boulder was vital to the feel and flow of every other element of this home. The owners agreed and now, tucked deep into the natural boulder pile the pool is so private most people on the golf course never realize it's there.
