This Master Bathroom in Norfolk received a complete gut, expansion and renovation. Through our Design Build process these homeowners worked with in-house designer Jason Hoffman to create their dream master bathroom retreat. When designing, Jason was able to offer ideas on how to gain square footage, ultimately adding a walk-in shower. Complete with a custom double vanity and beautiful tile work by Marshall Tile & Marble Company, this has been one of our favorite transformations to date. See the before and after photos below as well as some 3D renderings approved by the homeowners prior to construction. Our team both designs the renovation AND performs the work. Our talented carpentry crew and trusted subcontractors perfectly executed a design on paper to a well laid out, oasis retreat.

Home design - transitional home design idea in Boston

This is an engineered, reclaimed, skip planed white oak specified exterior barn wood floor prefinished with Bona Naturale installed in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The flooring features beautiful warm brown tones from the original patina of the barn wood, and black tones from the skip-planing process making for a uniquely rustic wide plank floor. The combination of the natural patina which developed in the wood over time as well as the weathering that it was exposed over the years creates a very rustic look in this floor. Circle saw marks and natural character marks complete the look.

This stairrunner project was something very special. Using 100% wool Stair Runner From Stanton Carpet (Item 21592 Alexander 31” width), we had to create a custom Stair-runner to fit a landing featuring a 90% miter, a Hollywood style step installation and then starting and ending with end caps. The U-Shaped landing area was created by matching two ends of the stair runner. This customer wanted a matching area rug which was not ready available. Our master installer seamed 3 – 31” runners lengths together to create the desired length and then added the borders to finish the look. The completed size was 5.8 x 8.6. Inspiration for a contemporary master gray tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile bathroom remodel in Raleigh

A Media Room is the perfect place to add dramatic color and rich, masculine accents and the feeling of a true bachelor pad. Perfect for entertaining, this room offers a bar, media equipment and will accommodate up to 12 people. To achieve this style we incorporated a wall of glass tile and bar. A large sectional offers lots of pillows for movie watchers. Backlit movie posters on canvas add theatre ambience. Just add popcorn and you are good to go. In this remodel the existing media room was attached to the home via a new vestibule and stairway. The entire room was resurfaced and revamped. We added thick wool carpeting for better acoustics, repainted top to bottom, added beautifully hand-carved custom wooden barn doors as well as a wet bar in the back of the room. A full wall of mosaic glass tile in the back of the media room is lit by LED tape lighting which is built-into the custom wood shelves. Warm tones of olive green, oranges, browns and golds as well as custom-built tables and barstools make this room feel like a “man-cave”. A custom designed bar height table that sits behind the sectional was commissioned to match the new barn doors. This bar table adds extra seating to the room. Adjacent the movie screen, a custom fabric panel was constructed and hides the media tower and cables. It matches the blackout Roman shades, which keep out light and nearly disappear into the wall. Our #2 Grade Unfinished Hickory will come in 1’-7’ random length bundles. Average lengths will be between 2 ½’ to 2 ¾’ in length. #2 Common Grade Hickory flooring has much more color variation in comparison to both Select & Better and #1 Common Grade. Expect the flooring to contain larger sized knots and longer surface mineral streaks throughout the flooring. The flooring will have a four-sided tongue and groove for ease of installation.
