Highland Builders LLCThe large angled garage, double entry door, bay window and arches are the welcoming visuals to this exposed ranch. Exterior thin veneer stone, the James Hardie Timberbark siding and the Weather Wood shingles accented by the medium bronze metal roof and white trim windows are an eye appealing color combination. Impressive double transom entry door with overhead timbers and side by side double pillars.

Normandy RemodelingThis classic kitchen has a white cabinetry that is offset with a second, grey finish on the island. Overall, the cabinet style is traditional with an ornate door style. There is also a mix of natural and engineered stone, including a marble backsplash, granite countertops and a quartzite island countertop. The large island also has seating, a prep sink and plenty of storage.

In some cases, this calls for routine trimming and pruning, which removes dead or diseased branches and stimulates new growth on the trees.
Distinctive KitchensTo achieve the open, modern take on Midcentury that our clients desired, we took down upper cabinets over the peninsula, which opened the spaces up to each other. In doing so we creating a storage area for wine and a long countertop for entertaining or setting up a buffet during parties. What had been wasted space to the right of the walkway is now the pantry, with deep storage cabinets.
Distinctive Kitchens was brought in to help choose finishes--tile backsplash and floors, sink, faucet, lighting, countertops and cabinet hardware. The adjacent dining room was also part of the design, because the rooms have such a strong relationship to each other. We consulted on furniture and lighting in that room, making sure the two light fixtures (one over the sink, the other over the dining table) didn't compete for attention.
We feel the end result is fresh, clean, and texturally beautiful.

MLB Design GroupIn this photo, we are looking into the shower through the glass enclosure - you can just see the reflection of the light switches in the glass. Notice how "clear" this clear glass is. It's called Starfire - or Starphire - glass (a brand name) which IS actually clearer than regular clear glass. Why? Because it contains less iron. In fact, it contains about 90% less iron than regular shower glass. This difference makes it less green, and allows for increased light transmission. It costs more, but can be well worth the investment. Imagine how different this bathroom would look if you were seeing all of that beautiful kintsugi tile through green glass! Notice the shelf in the niche -- that's regular clear glass....see the green edge?

We buil this vertical garden ourselves with upcycled wood. The pots are all different because we'd love to go thrift-shopping for pots for our collection of 100+ plants. Reeso Tiles, Inc.Traditional meets modern. The flooring tile in this picture is our 12x12 Saltillo regular square tile in its natural color variations. They are sealed with our oil based sealer (semi gloss). You can also have the Saltillo tile stained and sealed in brick red, antique birch, soft brown, walnut, or white wash. Other sealed options are glossy, and matte.
The beautiful tile backsplash is our Talavera tile in the following patterns:
T31 blue 4x4,
T31 blue 2x4 SBN (surface bullnose),
T55 decorative Talavera tile in 4x4.

(Saltillo tidbits: The area of Saltillo Mexico where the tile is made has the proper mix of clay, climate, and dedicated workers to produce one of the world's most popular tiles.
Saltillo tiles are not merely "sundried", they are also kiln fired. The way in which these tiles are stacked and positioned in the kiln produces their natural shading and range of colors. The stripping is caused by the overlapping of tiles when they are stacked in the kiln).
We also carry Saltillo regular square in 4x4, 8x8, and 16x16, or in Super (round edges) in 12x12.
