Boring Beige to Rich and Relaxing This project was so much fun! We had shower glass delays due to COVID but the final result looks amazing! I love creating space without adding space. We added storage with lighted medicine cabinets and pre-fabricated vanity. We added space by opening up the shower and moving the plumbing to the outer walls and adding clear glass between almost doubling the footprint of the shower. We added new faucets, a tub faucet with hand shower and a shower with two-in-one shower head. We added a skirted base toilet for ease of cleaning. It’s also the little things like a shower drain with a concealed hair trap. No more snaking the shower drain! We added a pivot toilet tissue holder. The wall beside the stairwell had to be shortened 13 inches and a new beam installed to carry the load of the home’s 2nd story to gain enough space for the large central island. The island’s custom Walnut cabinetry, built to resemble a piece of custom furniture, was stained Bronzed Walnut by Sherwin Williams. The 4-foot Galley Workstation in the island, handles all the kitchen’s prep, serving, and cleanup needs. They were also looking to replace a rolling island that wasn’t working for them with something that would help utilize their space.
