The Emerson garage is a solid solution to your storage problem. With a double-hinged side door and carriage style garage store, you’ll have no trouble storing or retrieving your most used toys. This unit has some great features, like plenty of natural light for working on your next project, and is available at a nice price.

This kitchen has tons of storage space! The roll out drawers allow you to retrieve deep items within the cabinet with ease, and those unwieldy baking trays have their very own storage slots.

A couple of items were purchase to organize the sports equipment. Now each child has a place for their specific item and it can easily be put away. All their athletic shoes were put in a bin for easy retrieval.

The conversion of this iconic American barn into a Writer’s Studio was conceived of as a tranquil retreat with natural light and lush views to stimulate inspiration for both husband and wife. Originally used as a garage with two horse stalls, the existing stick framed structure provided a loft with ideal space and orientation for a secluded studio. Signature barn features were maintained and enhanced such as horizontal siding, trim, large barn doors, cupola, roof overhangs, and framing. New features added to compliment the contextual significance and sustainability aspect of the project were reclaimed lumber from a razed barn used as flooring, driftwood retrieved from the shores of the Hudson River used for trim, and distressing / wearing new wood finishes creating an aged look. Along with the efforts for maintaining the historic character of the barn, modern elements were also incorporated into the design to provide a more current ensemble based on its new use. Elements such a light fixtures, window configurations, plumbing fixtures and appliances were all modernized to appropriately represent the present way of life.

This 1990's home, located in North Vancouver's Lynn Valley neighbourhood, had high ceilings and a great open plan layout but the decor was straight out of the 90's complete with sponge painted walls in dark earth tones. The owners, a young professional couple, enlisted our help to take it from dated and dreary to modern and bright. We started by removing details like chair rails and crown mouldings, that did not suit the modern architectural lines of the home. We replaced the heavily worn wood floors with a new high end, light coloured, wood-look laminate that will withstand the wear and tear from their two energetic golden retrievers. Since the main living space is completely open plan it was important that we work with simple consistent finishes for a clean modern look. The all white kitchen features flat doors with minimal hardware and a solid surface marble-look countertop and backsplash. We modernized all of the lighting and updated the bathrooms and master bedroom as well. The only departure from our clean modern scheme is found in the dressing room where the client was looking for a more dressed up feminine feel but we kept a thread of grey consistent even in this more vivid colour scheme. This transformation, featuring the clients' gorgeous original artwork and new custom designed furnishings is admittedly one of our favourite projects to date!

Privacy was the main concern for these homeowners. Through careful sloping and landscaping, a completely secluded pool area was achieved. The vinyl lined pool is entered by strong fiberglass steps which stand up to two Golden Retrievers swimming almost every day. Scott Kirk

Inspiration for a contemporary home office remodel in Los Angeles

The Boston City Hall Brick paver is repeated on the front walkways keeping the design connected between the front and back yards. Here a small Jumbo Cobblestone flared apron is installed by the driveway to add contrast to the brick and tie into the old world style of the property. A Used Granite post is installed in concrete with a hitching post for an added feature. Kona, the retriever, is the gatekeeper to the property.....

Plenty of food storage that is easy to see and retrieve. A reach-in pantry that holds everything including the vacuum and step stool.

The Stainless Steel french door refrigerator was the only holdover from Erin's original kitchen. While its location didn't change, it was surrounded by high storage capacity cabinets. The cabinet above the refrigerator has vertical dividers which allow cookie sheets and large serving plates to be easily stored and retrieved. The pantry cabinet is equipped with pull out shelves so nothing gets lost in the back of the cabinet.
