Fifty-five shade and ornamental trees were planted throughout the property to diversify the woodland canopy and offset the risk of oak wilt disease. Mature bald cypress trees were planted along the creek in phase one of a riparian restoration plan.

The designers of this particular wall panel have taken the risk to prove our instincs wrong, by fitting a circle line with squares. What they achieved is a multidimensional form. Proper arrangement of these decorative panels will change a plain wall into a real work of art. Several steps were taken to minimize the risk of the deck igniting. Embers like to collect under decks where they can use collected leaf litter as fuel to gain enough heat to burn wood. We prevent that by sealing off the under-side of the deck with concrete hardy board. Next, two layers of irrigated and compost-mulched native, hydration-holding foliage defends the deck from embers. Established California native greenery fills the back garden. Native, edible White Sage, Manzanita, and Catalina Cherry wrap a more traditional edible garden. The charming wooden shed offers convenient storage for outdoor furniture cushions and tools . The ability to store these items lessens the dry fuel available near the home. Inspiration for a mid-sized industrial brown one-story metal house exterior remodel in Seattle with a shed roof and a metal roof

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here.
