Planted rockery and rain garden surrounding back yard swimming pool. Planted in the rockery are Blue Mist Caryopteris and White Knockout Roses. The rain garden consists of Russian Sage, Rudbeckia 'Black eyed susan', and Autumn Joy Sedum.

This is an example of a mid-sized modern partial sun backyard stone garden path in New York.

3 tiered retaining walls were already existing but were outdated. We removed the wall stone and adjusted the shape slightly to fit with the landscape design. Similar plants were used such as Russian Sage, Goldenrod, Blue Sedge, Butterfly Bush, and Soft Touch Holly. The Holly will provide a winter interest, along with the Sedge and the Russian Sage.

Natural stone steps rise through a layered planting bed of Russian sage, ornamental grasses, and boulder accents, leading to a hedge-enclosed lounge area framed by a tall privet screen. A newly planted specimen tree adds height to the sightline, extending the property's privacy planning above the hedge line.
